Ritual of the Tattvas

One of the most popular expressions found in the Upanishads is Tattvamsi which means . . . Thou art That. The 36 tattvas describe the Absolute, its internal aspects and the creation including living beings, down to the physical reality. In our final ritual of the weekend, we will experience the Shakti Tattvas - doors of perception - revealing your true nature as the Absolute.

You're invited to join Dawn Cartwright and Adam Bauer for an evening of live music, Tantra practice and devotion as we celebrate the embodiment of love. In this beautiful Puja ceremony you will be guided, enchanted, inspired and danced into spontaneous connection with yourself and others. Pūjā, Kirtan and You,  the fires of transformation have never felt as sweet.

Pūjā (Sanskrit: reverence, adoration, worship) is a ritual performed as an offering to the Divine.There are many variations in scale, offerings, and ceremony. Pūjā is modeled on the idea of making an offering or gift to the Deity and receiving their blessing in return. The highest form of Pūjā is that offered to the living Deity, god as a living man, goddess as a living woman.

Kirtan (Sanskrit: to praise) is the call-and-response chanting at the heart of India's Bhakti devotional tradition. The kirtan practice involves group chanting of sacred mantras with musical accompaniment. Along with satsang, a gathering of truth and inquiry into the nature of life, it is one of Bhakti Yoga's foundational practices.

Adam Bauer

In the days and nights at the edge of winter, we'll explore the sacredness of our sexuality - the fire that ignites the heart and liberates the spirit. When lived and experienced naturally, our sexuality opening our hearts, births creativity, power and freedom, actualizing the potential of love in every way, in every encounter.

Secluded in the wilds of the Wicklow mountains, we'll explore Tantra, the path of the heart, as we explore the secrets contained within the mystical sutras of the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra. Everyone is welcome, this immersion is open to men and women, singles and couples. 

For 6 days and nights you'll experience a full program of Tantric meditations, tools, techniques and practices. You'll also have plenty of free time for hill walking, tree listening, cozying up with a book, dunking in the river, brack & tea, or cuddling with a friend, too.

We'll journey in into winter, discovering Tantric keys to creating sacred, conscious, ecstatic, loving, empowering relationship - with ourselves, our sexuality, our hearts, and the loves in our lives. We're very lucky to have intuitive cook Dorene Palmer of Divine Foods creating extraordinary meals in the kitchen. Dorene works with only the best live foods, organic produce, local cheese and organic breads to create wholesome, healthy, healing, out of this world orgasmic feasts. Through Divine Foods, Dorene teaches and counsels on proper nutrition that promotes good health and vitality. After a few days of Dorene's cooking, you'll be transformed. 

There may be a few guest speakers during the week as well, and magical visits from magical beings . . . many surprises in the works. Important to remember, once we get going, the mystery takes over. Tantra is an ancient path of meditation born out of a conversation between two lovers. Five thousand years ago Shiva and Devi were entwined in a lover's embrace discussing the mysteries of the universe. Awestruck by love, they composed 112 Sutras that give us direct experience of the spontaneous moment by moment emergence of life - the source of all creativity - union between Shiva, pure awareness, and Devi, pure energy. Over the days and nights at the edge of winter, we'll explore these Sutras, keys to bringing more love onto the planet, one heart at a time.

Nestled in the heart of Wicklow, this lovingly renovated lodge - built on the foundation and surrounded by the antique gardens of an old hunting lodge - is one of the most beautiful Centres I've experienced anywhere in the world. The house is cheerful, warm and cozy.

The forest has the most mystical trees and they are very much a involved with all the goings on in our sessions. The river is extraordinary . . . I go down for a dip each morning. There are mosses growing here that exist no where else in the world. Mucklaugh is a very, very special place, it will love you and remember you each time you arrive . . . it's already begun to call me back from California.

Your Instructor

Dawn Cartwright is a Tantric visionary, sacred writer, world traveler, and innovator in bio-energetic Tantra fusion. She discovered the path of Tantra by accident shortly after a period of life-changing mystical experiences in lovemaking more than twenty years ago.   Dawn’s study and research is focused on the ancient and modern forms of Tantra, bio-energetics, and the actualization of human potential through sexuality.  

Dawn received her degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis, and has had extensive training in Tantra, Yoga, Sexuality, Bioenergetics, Meditation, and Expressionistic Movement & Art. She has studied many schools of Tantra including Neo-Tantra, Shaktism, Kashmirian Shivaic Tantrism, Vaishnavism, Tantric Buddhism, Tantric Kriya Yoga and the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.
