Jazz Improvisation Workshops
As part of his 2013-14 touring season, flugelhornist Dmitri Matheny is presenting Melodic Mastery, jazz improvisation workshops for aspiring musicians of all ages. Based on the teachings of his mentor, jazz legend Art Farmer (photo), Matheny advocates a lyrical, melodic approach to jazz. Workshop partners this month include Northland Prep Academy (9/18), Northern Arizona University (9/19), Prescott Jazz Society (9/21) and American River College (9/26). More Info.
