Greetings, Flugelfans! The Dmitri Matheny Group is staging over 100 events this year on tour as we count down to the August 9 release of our new album, Sagebrush Rebellion. Tuesday, July 15 at 7:30 pm "A visionary. Melodic Mastery As part of his 2014 touring season, Dmitri presents jazz improvisation workshops for aspiring musicians. Based on the teachings of his mentor, jazz legend Art Farmer (photo), Matheny advocates a lyrical, melodic approach to jazz. Just ahead: a workshop at Great Basin Jazz Camp Ontario OR (7/14).
