Shaun Murphy :: LORETTA
Loretta (Vision Wall Records) features three-time Grammy Nominee: Shaun Murphy.

Loretta is produced by TC Davis and Randy Coleman, and recorded at Colemine Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Loretta showcases 8 tunes penned by Shaun Murphy and beautifully executed by such great players as Jack Pearson (Allman Bros.), Jimi Fiano (Bad Co. Foghat), Rob McNelley (Bob Seger, Delbert McClinton), Kenne Cramer (Dr. Hook), Mark T. Jordan (Bonnie Raitt), Larry Van Loon (Andy T & Nick Nixon), Randy Coleman (T Graham Brown), and renowned drummer, George Lilly.

Coming off 15 plus years as the only female lead singer with Little Feat, she jumped right into recording a number of great Blues discs.

Eden Brent :: JIGSAW HEART
Take Eden Brent to a Nashville studio and you still hear the Mississippi Delta. Recording in the historic RCA Studio A with producer/guitarist extraordinaire Colin Linden, the blues-piano songstress stretched her musical legs, ambling into soulful Americana territory. But by reaching back to Mississippi — recalling memories, old friends and all she learned from her piano mentor Boogaloo Ames — she has made her deepest, most reflective album yet.

Ames would be proud of the three-time Blues Music Award winner and her piano work on Jigsaw Heart, which takes root in the blues and flowers outward. Notoriously eclectic himself when it came to song choices, Boogaloo surely would be pleased by the breadth of styles on her new album, starting with track one, "Better This Way." Read more details here...

Step Back by Johnny Winter Takes 57th Blues Grammy
LOS ANGELES, CA - Step Back by Johnny Winter (Megaforce Records) took the 57th Grammy Monday, February 9th. The 13-track set pairs Winter with such admirers as Eric Clapton, Ben Harper, Joe Perry, Dr. John, Brian Setzer and Jason Ricci. Step Back was the sequel to 2011's Roots and the second of four planned collections of early blues and rock interpretations and was released posthumously. Winter had finished recording the album, and then played a concert tour in Europe, before he died on July 16, 2014 at age 70. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts for Blues Albums and Independent Albums “He left on a high note," said producer/guitarist Paul Nelson.

Reverend Shawn Amos Steps into the Blues
MEMPHIS, TN - With the son of Bobby “Blue” Bland onstage behind the drum kit many of the members of the audience in the Purple Haze must have been surprised to learn the lead singer was the one whose father was “Famous.”

“The MC Googled me,” “the Reverend” Shawn Amos said afterward. “I don’t keep a secret who my father is by any stretch but I also don’t advertise it.”

A Google search on Wikipedia for the son of chocolate chip cookie celebrity, Famous Amos, says nothing about Shawn Amos’ foray as a bluesman, a relatively new endeavor in a multifaceted career.
