Over the last several weeks in the A&R, Publishing, and Film/TV Music world, there are a few changes to report as always. Music Industry veteran and Artist Manager Jeff Castelaz has resigned as President of Elektra Records to focus on his artist management company Cast Management. Music Composer Vishal Dadlani of the Vishel-Shekhar duo has launched his own record label VLT (which stands for Vishal Like This). Republic Records has announced the appointment of Mike DePippa as SVP/Promotion & Artist Development, Rock Formats. Beasley Media Group has named Soni Dimond as VP/Corporate Communications. Capitol Music Group has named Gary Gorman SVP/Alternative Promotion and Big Loud Records has announced that David Clapper has joined the label as their Southeast Region Director of Promotion. Syco/SONY Music has added Mitch Eisner to their A&R department and Atlantic Records has added Orlando Wharton in Urban A&R and Austin Rice who joins Atlantic from Columbia. A&R execs Karen Kwak and Scott Marcus have both left Universal and Interscope and Atlantic have added Rock A&R executives in Nashville.
