Sgt Remo Releases Last Video
|
What better way to close out the promotion of the influential Sgt Remo & Friends—Crucial Reggae Duets record than with an official video of one of the most important cuts on the record? Sgt Remo releases the last single and official video titled Road to Zion featuring Chile’s Manu Dread. The album has been a great success, and on this single Sgt Remo & Manu Dread enlisted the music production of El Artillero Productions. Video production was provided by Irie Media Films of Mexico City. The two artists live around 5000 miles from each other. Sgt Remo lives in Texas, USA while Manu Dread lives in the South American country of Chile. Nonetheless, they were able to meet in Mexico City to film this great video.
Sgt Remo & Friends has been a great undertaking. The album consists of 14 tracks, 17 guest artists, and 8 producers hailing from all over the globe. From the music production to the filming of 8 official videos, it has been a true logistical challenge to accomplish this album. There are several other crucial songs that did not get the proper promotion but we hope the listeners will discover those gems on their own. The exciting reggae revival movement from Jamaica has blazed its way into Panama. Proudly produced and presented by Bocas Music Fest, LLC., REGGAE EN LA MONTAÑA will take place on April 15, 2017 on the grounds of the Club Campestre in beautiful and scenic El Valle de Antón, in Coclé province, in the Republic of Panama, a convenient 2 hours drive from Panama City.
REGGAE EN LA MONTAÑA is planned to be the biggest conscious reggae music festival ever staged in Panama. The event will feature live performances by some of the best known and most entertaining international reggae artists around, in addition to some exciting local talent. The event will also showcase the art and culture of Panama and the local community, and will include Yoga, music and craft workshops and activities for the entire family.
Artists confirmed for this event include reggae greats Capleton, Richie Spice, and Anthony B., as well as Etana, Jesse Royal, Kabaka Pyramid, Cali P., Meta and the Cornerstones, Panama's own El Roockie, Kafu Banton and more.

Don Andre` kicks off his highly anticipated Tom Cruise Tour this weekend.
Don Andre` is looking forward, "I am excited to come face-to-face with all the supporters, who have been making videos and embracing my work. I am well prepared, its going to be intense and exciting, I guarantee you," he said.
The KMG Records artiste is also on the verge of releasing a hot new video titled,"Love Time". The song is a modern dancehall twist to Marvin Gaye's classic, Sexual Healing. According to Don Andre`, "Music can be very influential. I chose to release "Love Time" for listeners to focus on the positives of life; love and affection versus hate and abuse. Too much negative is going on, so I decided to redirect our thoughts to joys of life."
Don Andre` came to prominence via his remake of the Shabba Ranks classic, “Needle Eye”, which topped the charts in Costa Rica. He was nominated as Best New Artiste by the prestigious IRAWMA awards. He also won Best Dance Move in Japan and Jamaica (Stone Love) for ”Tom Cruise.”

JaSkaMon | homegrown in the Pacific Northwest
|
J  aSkaMon (pronounced ja*ska*mon, refering to "spirit, music, and humanity") is a pop music project based in Oregon that blends Americana with Caribbean beats. Led by singer-songwriter guitarist Barry Klusman, the band has a core of five musicians including Klusman, Rodney Turner, Jim and Pam Caldwell, and Louis Butts. Other players are added when called for. JaSkaMon's attributes are a long list of hook-laden tunes that are rhythmically charged for dancing, tight harmony singing by all five, strong percussion, and infectious horn lines.
JaSkaMon has produced four CDs since their inception in March of 2013; "Sword & Plow", "All The People", and their 2015 release, "432". 432 refers to the use of "natural tuning" which was utilized when they recorded at The Lab Studio in Portland, Or. with John Neff (see David Lynch, Journey, Willie Nelson, etc.) at the controls.
