 With a heavy heart, we are sorry to inform you the passing of the 103rd Gaden Tri Rinpoche (the lineage holder of the Gelug tradition), Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin on April 21, 2017.
Please join our resident monks and staff for a special puja in his memory on Tuesday April 25 at 7 pm.
Our Loseling community here in Atlanta had been blessed by his presence and teachings when we had the honor of hosting Rinpoche twice: first in 2007 and last in 2015. It is a great loss not only to the Drepung community here and in India, but to the entire Buddhist world. Let us cherish the teachings that we received from him and pray for his quick return in his new incarnation.
Traditional candles, flowers and fruits are welcomed if you are able to join us in person. This puja will be live-streamed if you live outside Atlanta.
Note: Weekly Medicine Buddha practice and public talk is cancelled and will resume next week.
