Heat of the Moment

First thought when someone says "heat of the moment" is something tense happened between two people...but I am using those words to describe the end of July temperatures so maybe it should really me "the moment of heat!"  As we head in to a couple weeks with little rain predicted and daily highs just over 90 degrees it solves one problem but creates another.  No need to dodge rain which means no need to cancel scheduled outdoor events, but the heat becomes a challenge for those participating.  Everyone be safe and stay hydrated...and be sure and tip your servers
and if appropriate the band. They work really hard in the soaring heat to make the
event enjoyable for all!
Next week I will be away but I hope to put out the regular weekly edition. And as always you can drop me a note and let me know what you want to see in this Newsletter. So, hit me up!

2017 International Songwriting Competition
Local artists, don't overlook this contest!  Last week Liz Lottmann shared:

dividends I get each year."
As Ozark Blues Society again this year partners with the International Song Writing Competition, we are excited to be able to bring news of this opportunity to our readers.

You have to open your mind. I like the ability to express myself in a deep way. It's the closest music to our humanity - it's like a folk music that rises up out of a culture.
