Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters :: THE LUCKIEST MAN
Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters latest album, The Luckiest Man, is “A traditional blues album of remembrance, love, and unwavering resolve to live with faith and gratitude,” says the multi Blues Music Award-winning guitarist Ronnie Earl. On The Luckiest Man, Ronnie and the Broadcasters, both current as well as some of the earliest members, contribute to the new album, which follows the sudden loss of Jim Mouradian, the band’s beloved bass player following a show in January 2017. Mouradian was also a respected guitar luthier, family man and a gentleman. This musical journey through loss and healing can be felt in the hauntingly beautiful “Death Don’t Have No Mercy,” and in Ronnie’s tender tribute to his brother on “Jim’s Song.” Life moves ever onward in the pulse and beat of “Heartbreak,” and faith takes hold in “Never Gonna Break My Faith.” ...Find more about this artist and release

Malaysia’s first blues music festival a success
(Langkawi, Malaysia) - The first blues music festival in Malaysia, the Langkawi International Blues and Roots Aseana (LIBRA), kicked off Dec 31, 2017 night in style with a promise that it will emerge as another major musical event in the country for many years to come.

Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) chief executive officer Datuk Azizan Noordin said although the show would be held until the new year's eve, the first night show had already shown its potential to become another "must" in the island's next calendar.

"Those in their 60s, as well as the younger ones, who come in to the island as tourists, and the locals seem to be enjoying the show and this is a good sign," he said when met at the site of the event at Chenang Beach here.

He said LIBRA could emerge as another signature event for Langkawi, just like the Rainforest Music Festival in Kuching, Sarawak, or the international music festivals in Miri (Sarawak) and in Penang.
