Hi ,

Sometimes a little art can bring a breath of healing to the moment. This from Buddha Doodles:

A few quotes that may do the same thing:

If you have a body, you are entitled to the full range of feelings. It comes with the package.” ― Anne Lamott

“...she made her home in between the pages of books.”
― Maggie Stiefvater

“Dare to love yourself
as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends.”
― Author-Poet Aberjhani

What's a quote that soothes YOUR soul?

Passion Makes Perseverance Easy

Persistence is one of the biggest assets for creative success.
More than ever we need to immerse ourselves in our creative process for joy, healing and sanity. And more than ever, distractions are holding us hostage because anxiety is at an all time high and distractions are to some, immediate gratifiers.

When we feel passionate about what we are doing, it's easier to show-up. Distractions begin to fade and have less influence.

Here are three reasons why passion can be less accessible:
1. Loss. Loss not only takes away our desire to create but our coping skills draw upon our creativity, so often times it feels like we aren't creative anymore.  Loss can be anything from the empty-nest syndrome to the loss of faith in our country's leadership. Grieving has its own mind but we can find our creativity with some kindness and patience.

2. The tyranny of the inner critic. How can we be passionate if we are constantly beating ourselves up, often habitually. Simple tools can shift our criticism to curiosity.

3. Distractions. The immediate gratification of distractions is often more accessible than moving into the complex nature of a creative flow. But there are easy ways to replace distractions with entries to that timeless, ageless momentum.

If you are wondering where your passion is, if you are passionate but want more focus, if you have issues with the inner tyrant, join me in a workshop Thursday November 8, 2018  at 4 pm pacific/ 5pm mountain/ 6pm central/ 7pm eastern where I will share with you some simple Kaizen-Muse Creativity tricks that can get you back on track. I will take a volunteer on a short and gentle journey to more creativity. (Let me know if you'd like to be that volunteer). You can come along.

Sign-up here , P.S. it's free - you can opt for an internet connection or a phone connection. (no camera necessary if you're on the internet).  I'll also share with you about the Taos retreat and the excursion to Paris next September
