LIVE WYYA’S is extremely irie to announce the release
of their third album entitled
BACK TO THE ROOTS on the Live Wyya Productions label -
with hits like "Never Love Again" and "Like A Rock",
this roots rock reggae album is filled with
high energy and strong messages.
The Live Wyya - Roots Rock Reggae group is soaring high with inspiration, aims and objectives to teach and educate the
populous through music. Tremendously popular within their native Jamaican, this close knit group of talented musicians is one of
reggae music’s most internationally acclaimed band of emissaries. Their songs boast a varied list of music that spells
determination and an extreme source of self-development, granting them the ability to culturally promote passion and emotion all
over the world.
The group was founded and formed in December of 1999 by
Carl “C-Wyya” Edwards (bass guitarist) and Arnaldo Bolt
(drummer). The group comprises members: Chadian Munroe (keyboardist), Jerome "Jay Wyya" Smickle (lead vocalist), Kirk “Oneil” Gayle (keyboardist), and Michael "Colgate" Downer (lead guitarist).
All players of instruments sing harmony vocals.
Live Wyya’s outstanding ability to produce quality works and list of accomplishments have allowed them to emerge as Jamaica’s
number one band. Live Wyya’s achievement is incomparable and is the driving force of the exceptional works they have been
able to produce. Their current performance list of musical works, include an exceptionally phenomenal catalog.
Live Wyya has provided musical accompaniment for over 95%+ of all major Jamaican artistes on all major events and has made
their name synonymous to all reggae patrons around the world. Live Wyya have decided to take their music careers to a much
higher level, thus stamping there name and class on the world stage as a self contained show band.
