Hi Everyone,
We had a great virtual session last week.  Thanks to all who joined.  Can't wait till Thursday!!

The Corona Virus and Its Impact on Chicago Israeli Dancing
For the most part, as I look around the country, and the world for that matter, almost all sessions have cancelled.  So, we're now looking forward to our third ever virtual dance on 4/2/20. (Meeting details are above).

Speaking of the virus, here are a few videos for your viewing pleasure 😉😉

I'd like to share a few videos now that have recently come my way:

The first is from Galit who shared this inspirational video of a virtual Israeli Dance festival performance from Mexico Anajnu Veatem

And then this from Vered Negbi:

"Hi Phil,
I hope things are going well for you in these crazy days.  I continue to get your emails, remembering our meeting in Chicago long time ago when I joined your dancing session once.

I'm doing well so far.  On a break from learning how to be a teacher of Israeli folk dancing!
During the course we had 2 assignments and I decided to prepare videos for them.  Maybe now you guys have more time to watch them (both in hebrew)...

[The first is a look at Israeli dancing in Israeli today and how we got there.  The second is a tribute to Tuvia Tischler. If you go 7:21 in on this one, you'll see a dance called Od Yagi'a Yom that I never got around to teaching but liked it a lot when I learned it. Phil]

Miss you guys.

Say hello to everyone online (I'm working online when you have your virtual sessions so I cannot join).

Stay strong. Hope to see you soon dancing.

Vered"
