The Coaster  Season 1, Episode 10
Kaizen-Muse Creativity Tools
"...when you overhear a combination of  words you may find yourself in a poem OR  when a dot takes you for a walk you might discover a timeless flow of art, or when you click on a link to an article from NASA about the moon, you may find yourself diving off a high dive into a lake of relaxation … but if any of these things happen, you will be landing inside of an idea."
..'"
 In the Issue:

Dear ,

My creative process was on the blink during this pandemic, until I lowered my expectations waaaaay down, asked a few creative questions, and turned my attention to the simplest writing I could think of: Digging out things I'd written before and revising them, and some became podcasts .

Sometimes the creative process is on pause. It may have left the plane of our existence to float away from the craziness of the earth - circling around in the outer-lands of our own personal orbit to gather connections, tap inspiration, and launch momentum for when it's time to return our passions. It will return.

Creativity is naturally suspended during times of stress sometimes, to help us adapt.

When we ask questions, go for a swim ... a walk ... or even a nap, our creative juices are still present on the sleepy side of our consciousness. Just like the moon, they will shine again.

I've had long phases of creative suspension, but my love for it and faith in it, has kept my intention lit. So the creative urge, ushered by amusement and daring,  always comes back, sometimes even stronger than I expect.

 Come Daydream With Me

The Latest Episode:

Sometimes when the earth is a little dark, we need to take a swim on the moon.  This is a little daydream for relaxation and creativity during a tough phase in reality.  It may be a dark phase, but just like the moon, the light always comes back.

Refrigerator Art was influenced by my love of Alice in Wonderland, art that kids do, and a kind gesture. It also includes themes near and dear to me, like the extent I might go to to satisfy a chocolate craving, feeling a little crazy during the pandemic, and my propensity to lose things. And it answers the question as to whether the refrigerator light stays on.

What happens when you ask a Coaster on your bedside table  a question and then let it answer through writing? The answer might take a moment to sink in...just like the ring on the bottom of your cup.

WRITING PROMPT
Dig out some of your writing or art from before the pandemic or even from years ago. I've been going through old journals and, like an archeologist, - without judgment -using my curiosity to piggyback on the before and make it into the now.   Some of it has inspired editing, and new ideas.

ART PROMPT
Let Google image moon art inspire some new ideas about the moon. Pick an image and copy with your non-dominant hand or give yourself 30 seconds to get a fast rendering full of energy. Write a message from the moon to you and include it.
