THE WOMEN’S WEB OF LIFE DANCE
Center For Peace, Seymour, TN
May 28-30, 2021
“It is through stillness and movement that we begin to see the interconnectedness among all things”
Dance Chiefs – Jennilea Beem & Heather Robinson
- Can you see where you want to be-yet can’t see the steps you need to take to get there?
- Do you begin things only to find yourself unable to finish them?
- Do you feel stuck and unmotivated, but finally ready to become the woman you’ve dreamed of being?
- Or perhaps you’re incredibly happy and want to celebrate, dancing that gratitude into your life and into the world
Many Dancers have said that in the Women’s Web of Life Dance they have accomplished this and much more. The Dance can assist you in both healing your past and taking steps toward your dreams, bringing you to your amazing future.
The Women’s Web of Life Dance is a Dance given in a vision to two elders. It is not a Native American ceremony. It is a ceremony about looking down the threads of life, both forward and backward, and seeing all the possible consequences of our choices. It is about seeing, understanding, and ultimately taking responsibility for what we set in motion. It is about gaining understanding of how everything we do affects the strands next to us, across from us and, indeed, the whole web of life.
Although the Dancers and crew are women, men are invited and encouraged to support by helping to prepare the Dance area on Friday, serving in the kitchen during the Dance, participating in the feast on Sunday, and in other ways.
The contribution for this Dance is $295. This covers the expenses necessary to hold the Dance.
There is never a charge for ceremony. Payment options are available when arrangements are made in advance. There is also a work exchange program in place at the Center.
If this Dance calls to you, please contact the Dance Chiefs at Web.dance@centerforpeace.us.

Dear Ones,
Heather and I are honored and humbled to again be serving as Co-Chiefs for the Women’s Web of Life Visionary Dance at the Center for Peace this coming Memorial weekend, Friday, May 28-30. We are deeply indebted to the Chiefs and Visionaries who have shown us the way and held the space for so many women over the years. Without our beloved Visionaries, Brenda Sue Whitmire and Gail Glass, this incredible Dance would not exist.
As we prepare to weave the Sacred Web in this arbor, we would like to invite each of you to feel about whether you are called to dance or serve in this women's visionary ceremony. Many women have received life-changing visions while participating in this ceremony, so if you feel that a shift, big or small, is needed in your life, this is the perfect opportunity. Gathering together in love, light, support, tears, and laughter is a magnificent way to not only open yourself to guidance from Spirit, but also to receive and integrate it.
We are currently needing some Spirit Warriors/Dog Soldiers to help support this dance. If you have any questions about what this entails, please give either of us a call or text and we will give you more information. If you feel called to dance, serve, or participate in another way, please contact either one of us. Please also bring any friends or family who might benefit from this ceremony. Men are welcome and encouraged to help before and after the dance, so please bring any male relatives or friends to come help on Friday and/or Sunday afternoons for set up and closing. There are several things to do to prepare, and many hands make light work.
We would love to have help preparing the arbor, meadow, and kitchen on Saturday, May 22. Any time commitment is greatly appreciated, and this is a perfect way to help pay for your dance if you choose our work-study option (please notify Heather or Jennilea if this is an option you would like to consider). We have work for all strengths and all ages. This is a wonderful way for men to contribute and add the sacred male energy to this women’s ceremony.
We look forward to serving with each of you, and deeply appreciate your support!
With love, light, and laughter,
Heather Robinson and Jennilea Beem

Work Day
for
Women's Web of Life Dance
Saturday, May 22nd
10:00am - done
Heather and Jennilea, Dance Chiefs for the Women’s Web of Life Dance will be hosting a work day on Saturday, May 22, from 10 am until…?
Come for the day, come for an hour – we welcome and deeply appreciate any and all help!
The work we will focus on includes mowing and weeding the meadow, weeding the house gardens, sweeping out the breezeway, prepping the composting toilets, cleaning and straightening the Sound Chamber, digging holes for the arbor poles (there will be an auger – yay!), prepping wood (splitting and stacking), and making sure our supplies such as sage, tarps, sheets and towels are in order.
If you are a work exchange participant, this is the time to get that done.
Please bring comfortable, protective clothing and shoes, work gloves, sunscreen, bug repellant, a water bottle, and a dish to share for lunch. All ages are welcome and encouraged to join in this “work is worship” event!
Please let us know if you can make it so we can plan accordingly. We hope to see you there!

Drumming in the Arbor ~ May 1st

Drumming
in the Arbor
May 1st
2021
11:00 am - 12:00 noon
Led by: Nan & Steve Citty
We will continue this month to hold a drumming ceremony in place of a first Saturday Sweat Lodge. It is our determination that it is not responsible in these times of ongoing global pandemic for the Center For Peace to hold a ceremony that places a number of people in a very confined area for a long period of time, thus sweat lodges will not be held until sometime later this year.
April's scheduled drumming will be held at the Center For Peace. Bring your own drum. We will spread out in the dance arbor. We will be outside and able to maintain responsible separation.
This is an opportunity to be physically together and maintain safety protocols.
We hope you are able to join us, however, if you cannot join us, set aside the time, pull-out that beautiful drum of yours, feed it, and prepare your space and join us on the drumbeat on Saturday.

Monthly Fire Ceremony ~ May 7th

Fire Ceremony
Friday, May 7th
6:45 pm
~ led by Katy Koontz
The purpose of the FIRE CEREMONY is to heal and purify both the planet’s physical oceans and the oceans of cosmic thought.
At 7 pm local time, fire elders light ceremonial fires at each of the Peace Sound Chambers around the world. Those present watch the fire in silence until it burns out, giving to it what we want to transmute in our lives and staying open to the messages and teachings it brings.
Come to the fire ceremony if you enjoy focused meditation, if you are looking for new ideas and insights, if you seek to release and transmute something that does not serve you, if you want to join in the service of healing the oceans (both physical and cosmic) or if you’re simply called to participate in a ceremony that honors this powerful elemental force.
We suggest you arrive by 6:45 pm.
All are welcome.
Donations are appreciated.

We are asking for sponsorship through monthly donations.
These donations do not need to be large but if those who love the Center for Peace could help by committing a few dollars on a monthly basis it could be the difference between always hoping that someday we will be able to build or provide those needed areas (i.e. showers, sleeping areas, restrooms) and actually making it happen.
If you have participated in any of the programs, offerings, and events that occur on an ongoing basis at the Center for Peace you have already felt the personal blessings from these activities. Our mission is to be a Spiritual Center for our community which extends to anyone open to this learning path.
