Work Day
Install Shingles on Arbor
Saturday, October 9th
8am-5pm
Work began in March on the arbor roof. New roof decking was installed and weakened rafters, etc. were replaced. Water/Ice shield was installed over all of the decking.
The arbor is now ready for shingles. We will begin at 8am on October 9th
If you are a work exchange participant, this is the time to get that done.
Please bring comfortable, protective clothing and shoes, work gloves, sunscreen, bug repellant, a water bottle, and a dish to share for lunch. All ages are welcome and encouraged to join in this “work is worship” event!
Please let us know if you can make it so we can plan accordingly. We hope to see you there!

Drumming
in the Arbor
Saturday, October 2nd
2021
11:00 am - 12:00 noon
Led by: Nan & Steve Citty
We will continue this month to hold a drumming ceremony in place of a first Saturday Sweat Lodge. It is our determination that it is not responsible in these times of ongoing global pandemic for the Center For Peace to hold a ceremony that places a number of people in a very confined area for a long period of time, thus sweat lodges will not be held until sometime later this year.
October's scheduled drumming will be held at the Center For Peace. Bring your own drum. We will spread out in the dance arbor. We will be outside and able to maintain responsible separation.
This is an opportunity to be physically together and maintain safety protocols.
We hope you are able to join us, however, if you cannot join us, set aside the time, pull-out that beautiful drum of yours, feed it, and prepare your space and join us on the drumbeat on Saturday.

Monthly Fire Ceremony ~ October 7th
|
Fire Ceremony
Tuesday, October 7th
6:45 pm
~ led by Katy Koontz
The purpose of the FIRE CEREMONY is to heal and purify both the planet’s physical oceans and the oceans of cosmic thought.
At 7 pm local time, fire elders light ceremonial fires at each of the Peace Sound Chambers around the world. Those present watch the fire in silence until it burns out, giving to it what we want to transmute in our lives and staying open to the messages and teachings it brings.
Come to the fire ceremony if you enjoy focused meditation, if you are looking for new ideas and insights, if you seek to release and transmute something that does not serve you, if you want to join in the service of healing the oceans (both physical and cosmic) or if you’re simply called to participate in a ceremony that honors this powerful elemental force.
We suggest you arrive by 6:45 pm.
All are welcome.
Donations are appreciated.

We are asking for sponsorship through monthly donations.
These donations do not need to be large but if those who love the Center for Peace could help by committing a few dollars on a monthly basis it could be the difference between always hoping that someday we will be able to build or provide those needed areas (i.e. showers, sleeping areas, restrooms) and actually making it happen.
If you have participated in any of the programs, offerings, and events that occur on an ongoing basis at the Center for Peace you have already felt the personal blessings from these activities. Our mission is to be a Spiritual Center for our community which extends to anyone open to this learning path.
