Ozark Blues Society's Blues Challenge Registration
Opens Next Week

(Liz and Kayla are filling in for Sandy again this week. Sandy is recovering amazingly well from her surgery, and will be back at it here soon!)

We're very, very close to opening the registration for our Blues Challenge! If you've been getting this newsletter for several years, you know all about the Challenge and its rewards. If you've just recently joined our list, well, you're about to get schooled! Every year the Blues Foundation, based in Memphis, TN, produces the International Blues Challenge. All the venues in and around Beale Street are filled with bands from all over the world for 4 days and nights, to compete for the Big Win. There are around 250 participating blues societies from every country imaginable, that send their local challenge winners to compete in Memphis. Our Challenge will take place at the Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville, AR, on October 22, and we will notify bands and solo/duo artists how to register in our next newsletter! We have had the honor of sending a band and solo/duo performers every year since 2003. Several of them have placed in the Top 10, and one of our solo artists won the whole enchilada. They know who we are in Memphis, that's for sure. Many of us board members volunteer at the event, and when the IBC programs are given out, we often hear "Let's see who Ozark Blues Society is sending this year!" BWAAHAHAHA!

Always remember, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send feedback or suggestions our way. Sandy's email address is below, and she will be able to forward anything you send to Kayla and me while she heals up. We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!
