Blues News You Can Use!
I have been trying to avoid using the weather as an opener, but, sheesh.... when it is below zero outside is there anything else to talk about? With Christmas two days away, maybe this time there is something!
The Ozark Blues Society Board of Directors sends our best wishes that all our readers might have a joyous Christmas holiday.  Stay safe and warm everybody!
As we jump into Christmas weekend (and New Year's the next,) you may find the blues music calendar a bit limited in it's offerings.
May we once again suggest a visit
to the local community calendars to find
a plethora of Christmas related activities. Some we use in the preparation of this newsletter such as the FAYETTEVILLE FREE WEEKLY and the FAYETTEVILLE FLYER offer
a wide range of events for the holidays.

Thinking of gifting yourself something this year? Check out our Bound For Beale IBC Fundraiser! It is officially less than
a month away now and what a win-win gift as you treat yourself to some great local blues bands while supporting Ozark Blues Society's IBC sponsorship costs. Remember, reserved table seating is limited so be sure and visit the link below to order your tickets while you can still grab your favorite seats! For anyone who may not know, the Meteor Guitar Gallery once again has a full bar available for your celebration pleasure! Read on below for all the information and the ticket link.

Not seeing articles and calendar listings for your favorite artist? Do remember, this is YOUR newsletter! Please consider sharing dates that are not included in the community calendars we use to compile our newsletter. You may send information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click on Sandy's email address below.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!

IBC Fundraiser
Bound For Beale

Ozark Blues Society is proud that over the years we have been able to offer above average sponsorships to the acts representing Northwest Arkansas at the International Blues Challenge each year. It may sound repetitive, but it's true, we can't do it without your help! Please mark your calendar and plan to come out and support our fundraising efforts while cheering on our IBC bound act, the Downtown Livewires. The fundraiser will also feature our 2022 Best
Self-produced CD winner, Buddy Shute and the Motivators,
as well as our 2021 Challenge winner, the Jeff Horton Band.
The date is set for Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville
and will begin at 7pm.
If you want to grab one of the limited, reserved table seats, consider jumping in soon while choice seats are still available.
Tickets for this fundraiser are $35 for reserved table seating, and $25 for general admission. To grab your spot, click the link HERE:
And don't forget, the 2023 International Blues Challenge is being held in Memphis January 24-28th. If you have never been to the IBC, perhaps this is your year to go and root for The Downtown Livewires as they represent Northwest Arkansas.
