Blues News You Can Use!
 Digging Deeper
In response to last week's opening about ways to dig deeper into blues history, faithful newsletter reader, Buddy Shute, checked in with an Oklahoma Blues musician he follows and secured permission to share Big Train and the Loco Motives weekly blues history video. You will find the link and info about
it in the article below. I continue to admire those using their time and talents to help keep blues history at the forefront.
I think it would make a nice weekly piece...what do you think?

In addition to the new article mentioned above, we have an article shared by Music Moves about their new digs in downtown Rogers where they plan to offer performances and more. Read on below
to find out more. Returning this week
is the article containing information
about the Kansas City Blues Society's annual fundraising raffle of a set
of tickets for the January 2024
Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise.
Who couldn't get excited about a Caribbean Cruise in the middle of winter!

It's always important to say, this is YOUR newsletter! No time to submit complete articles? Why not consider sharing dates for your favorite artists? Often, some get left out when our newsletter is complied due to the listings not being included in the community calendars we use. Many bands have time challenges in submitting information and this would be a great way for fans to show them some love! Please send questions, information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click on Sandy's email address below.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!

Music Moves presents:
The Music Depot
A New Music Venue
in Downtown Rogers
Local nonprofit Music Moves proudly announces the acquisition of a building
in Downtown Rogers (formerly Golden’s Jewelry), and its plan to convert the space to a music venue and educational programming space. Since its inception, Music Moves has been focused on the importance of placemaking for art and culture–specifically black art and culture. Thanks to Northwest Arkansas’ support of the mission and vision of Music Moves, this space will serve as the next phase in the organization's growth. The Music Depot will be a dedicated place for
education and live music, providing a venue for the growth of the Black Music
Curriculum, as well as creating a safe space for the community to show up authentically and learn all about the amazing musicians and artists the greater region has to offer.

To stay up to date on the opening of The Music Depot as well as its calendar of events, sign up for the Music Moves newsletter or follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram.
You can find more information about Music Moves vision and events at the Music Moves website and Facebook page.
