And speaking of the goings on in Israel, I happy to report that our fund raising efforts have achieved some success. Please check out the following:
"Dear Safety for Israel Team,
I had the privilege to meet Aryeh Myers, an Israeli paramedic with Magen David Adom... Aryeh shared with us that Magen David Adom serves every community in Israel, including the many non-Jewish communities and that it’s staff reflects the diversity of the Jewish State. He works with Druze, Muslims, Christians, Jews, and others to staff the emergency medical vehicles and apparatus to save lives throughout Israel.
He expressed his heart-felt gratitude to each of us for our generous gift. Together, 312 of us raised over $125,000 for the purchase of a fully equipped ambulance to be added to the Magen David Adom fleet. The ambulance is currently on order and being built. We will share further information when it is completed and ready to be shipped to Israel.
Thank you again for participating in this “Mitzvah” and for supporting American Friends of Magen David Adom.

Of course, our best wishes for refu'a shleima go out to all our brothers and sisters in Israel in need of physical/emotional healing.
Keeping our friend, Larry D, on the refu'a shleima list, and happy to report he is making progress. Wishing you the easiest and fastest of rehab.
I also want to continue to send best wishes for a speedy and full refu'a shleima to Mindy F! Mindy came recently. It was great to see her on the dance floor!
It was also great to have Rivka with us recently but we will keep her on the list.

OUR INDOOR SESSIONS ARE OPEN ONLY TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT SICK. (IF YOU ARE, PLEASE STAY HOME). MASKS ARE OPTIONAL.
COST: $17 on non-party nights. PLEASE add a few more bucks on party nights.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE - Enter the building from the parking lot on the west side of the building. Ring the bell and wait to be buzzed in to the inner door. At that point please identify yourself as a dancer and you will be admitted to the building. Please go straight ahead and then down the stairs to the Weiner Room, our dance space (and adjacent to the washrooms we use.) PLEASE DO NOT AT ANY TIME GO TO ANY OTHER PART OF THE BUILDING.
IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 10:30 WE MAY NOT NOTICE YOU TO LET YOU IN. IF THAT HAPPENS, TRY TEXTING OR WHATSAPPING PHIL AT 312.519.8669, AND PLEASE BE PATIENT. (IF YOU WANT TO CATCH MY ATTENTION DURING THE SESSION, WHATSAPP IS BY FAR YOUR BEST BET. EVERYTHING ELSE IS PRETTY MUCH HIT OR MISS.)

Dear IFD Camp/Workshop Directors of the Americas (North, Central, and South)
Our friend Nona Malki approached me and asked if I would be willing to set up a WhatsApp group for all of us. (I said yes 😊) In particular, she wanted to make it easy for us to share dates regarding events we are planning, specifically with the intent of avoiding inadvertent date conflicts. While we are all aware that there are ways to publicize our dates once we have them (e.g. JewishAustralia, Rokdim, Facebook, etc.), some of us don’t always have access to these sites or we simply forget to check. So, at the moment, we don’t have an interactive way to reach out to each other to discuss events/dates we are contemplating.
Please join this group and let’s use it to communicate with each other. Of course, feel free to use this group to discuss things that you think will be of interest to your fellow leaders. And please let Phil know who else should be added to the group.
