The Dragon Dance of Creation: Embracing the Elemental Forces
The Dragon Dance of Creation: Embracing the Elemental Forces is based on the Native American Medicine Wheel and is inclusive of many beliefs and traditions. It is a Mystical and Transformative Dance that can help you identify, connect with and expand your Creative Soul by interacting with the Elements of Fire, Water, Earth, Air and the Void in a direct hands-on manner in the Dance Arbor.
This year, being the 5th and last Dragon Dance (in this form), we will give special attention to the Number 5. In Joseph Rael’s book, The Way of Inspiration, he says that "the number five “Paah-nu” - is the infinite self and the personal self and glues itself to the power of Carrying. And this is the connection of the heart and the mind, when the light fuses with the universal intelligence that connects Infinity with the personal self in the act of carrying.”
This is also the year of the 5th Element which is the VOID/CENTER/WITHIN/the ALL THAT IS. We will work with our breath in chanting and singing and speaking our personal truth as we allow ourselves to be “carried”. The color for the Void is Purple.
The Dragons show up to support you as they hover metaphorically over each Element encouraging you and protecting you to:
- Dance through old beliefs that hold you captive in the present.
- Create space within your Heart and Head for new ideas and inspiration.
- Get in touch with your Creative Soul.
- Create Medicine tools.
This Dance is about unleashing your Creativity and expressing your personal Self in a safe and nurturing space. There is deep freedom available when working with the Elements while dancing inside a Medicine Wheel.
There are many ceremonies and parts of this Dance that can lead you and allow you to Fly with the Dragons and move into realms that you may not normally access.
At each Directional Element there will be items with which you can interact and use to create temporary or permanent tools, symbols and artifacts for your altar, desk or home. These are intended to help remind you of your Dance and encourage you to move forward into your creative future.
As Joseph says: “We as human beings (two leggeds) were born for dancing. The effort that we use for dancing is energy that Mother Earth and Father Sky use to live in our physical bodies - so keep on dancing.”
The Dance will begin on Friday afternoon. Please arrive by noon. We will Dance, Sweat, Create and be together in Creative Unity for the weekend. We will end early Sunday afternoon.
We have space in the Arbor for 12-14 Dancers: first come, first serve.
Dancers will sleep in the Arbor and fast from food and water for the duration of the ceremony.
The Donation for Dancers is
- Individuals -$365.00 (a dollar a day for a year of Creativity).
- Dancer Elders (65 years and older) - $200.00.
- Couples - $600.
**Please note, no work credit from the Center at Peace can be applied for this Dance.
If you are called to Crew instead of Dance, the donation includes your food and camping fee.
Crew Donation is $50.
For Crew 65 years and over or under 18 years, Donation is $35.
You may pay by Zelle (bank to bank transactions) or cash on the day of the Dance.

We have very limited indoor sleeping spaces (Price information forthcoming). Most Crew members will need to camp in the meadow where there are out-houses but no running water or electricity.
We have Crew positions of Element Keepers, Dragon Drummers, Alpha Dragon & Dragon Guardians, Dragon Kitchen Crew, and Dragon Elders.
