The Ripcords return with White Cadillac, their first new
studio album in five years. Across a dozen tracks the band
seamlessly blends blues, rock and americana with nods
to rockabilly, crime jazz, outlaw country and even
Ennio Morricone to create a universe all their own.
"We've been together over 20 years now," notes founding member, singer/guitarist Rex Lyons, "Over the years we've matured as musicians, and I think it's pretty evident there
are a lot of different influences that come into play
in our songwriting and arranging."
"We've always been blues or blues-rock at our core, but since we’ve added the horn section we’ve been able to stretch the thread that tethers us to rock and take things in new
directions. The rock side of things, very clearly,
is where I like to lean at the end of the day."

While the album traverses a lot of territory, strong songwriting
and the love of a good hook remain constant. "I think any musician's challenge, the more you get into the craft of songwriting, is to try to go beyond the things you always look to. You don't want to repeat yourself, you want to build a new
building on the same foundation. You can't reinvent the wheel,
but you can make it spin a bit differently."
Like the vintage ride that graces the album's front cover,
White Cadillac purrs and roars with big block perfection —
it's the ride you don't want to stop taking!
