Report from the Pinetop Perkins Foundation Homecoming
|
Your OBS President Diane Rudolph, and past president and Secretary Liz Lottmann, are essential contributors for this annual Pinetop event. Liz is the Event Coordinator and books the artists. Diane ties up loose ends on site, and there are always plenty of those.
As you can see from the pictures here, Liz enjoys meeting and working with the artists. She says it's a great honor to get to know them, and develop those warm friendships. Christone "Kingfish" Ingram is a "graduate" of the Pinetop Perkins Foundation Youth Workshops held every summer in Clarksdale, MS. Whenever he can each year, he drops in quietly at the Homecoming and jams with the other young workshop attendees. It's an exciting and heartwarming moment. Here is some video of the Pinetoppers jamming.
Once again, a collection of extraordinary Arkansas and Mississippi women appeared as... The Delta Divas! Prayer Bailey, Lala Craig, Charlotte Taylor, Heather Crosse, Liz Lottmann, Diane Rudolph, and more! Here are pics showing what all goes on at the Homecoming. See you next year!!!
Gotta put up the schedule!
