This week's featured Blues Legend:
Howlin' Wolf and Son House
From Wikipedia:
Edward James "Son" House Jr. (March 21, 1902 – October 19, 1988) was an American Delta blues singer and guitarist, noted for his highly emotional style of singing and slide guitar playing.
After years of hostility to secular music while working as a preacher, he turned to blues performance at the age of 25. He quickly developed a unique style by applying the rhythmic drive, powerful delivery, and emotional intensity of his preaching to the newly learned idiom. In a short career interrupted by a spell in Parchman Farm penitentiary, he developed his musicianship to the point that Charley Patton, the foremost blues artist of the Mississippi Delta region, invited him to share engagements and to accompany him to a 1930 recording session for Paramount Records.

6 Degrees of the Delta airs Sundays at 5:00 p.m. Your host ever Sunday is LaDawn Lee Fuhr. The idea for the show is that all modern music can be connected back to the Delta through 6 people or less. Based on small world theory and 6 Degrees of Separation, #6DegreesoftheDelta will provide good music with a good story and rich history to be enjoyed by everyone.

Each Sunday night at 8:00, long-time area radio personality Dennis Rogers shares progressive rock music on the program Mr. Rogers’ Rock Collection.
Wanna listen to great Blues artists, and learn all about them, too? Our friend from Jonesboro, Arkansas not only plays the music, but writes bios, and links videos. Check him out and give him some propers!
