Let Me Count The Ways
Happy Valentine's! How do you love yourself? Louise Hay, author of the classic bestseller You Can Heal Your Life, says loving ourselves is our first key to healing whatever ails body, mind, or life circumstance. Read her fascinating classic, if you have not. She overcame a misguided and brutal childhood, has inspired and touched lives the world over, and along the way healed herself of cancer. Ok, you say. So yeah, I love myself. Now what? Louise suggests this exercise: "I love myself, therefore . . . " 
I hiccupped all over the . . . for a month. I am just beginning to learn to fill in the blanks! Louise has a wondrous example of a list in the last chapter of her book. Here is my Valentine's list, this 2014 . . . 
I love myself, therefore: I dared hypnosis, and healed sciatica pain. 
I love myself, therefore: I did LASIK and set my eyes free. 
I love myself, therefore: I waste not a minute more of my life on recrimination, regret, or self-blame, but move onward & forwards. 
I love myself, therefore: I insist on happiness. I demand joy.

Even as I've begun writing personal notecards and letters for pleasure, to revive a lost art, and to relieve cyber-fatigue, I'm evolving through new website and ENews formats in the coming months. I appreciate all patience, support and feedback as things keep on shifting!

Some favorite spring charities:  
Fresh Air Fund gets  city kids into nature;
Keoni Movement Arts KMAoffers yoga, dance, gymnastics, & acrobatics to general and special needs populations;
NYC Rescue Mission will buy an Easter meal for $2.14
Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi, at St. Bart's, a midtown Manhattan church. I love the Wed 9am Tai Chi in the Sanctuary.
