Fall Youth Soccer Kicks Off Soon
|
Addy is a five year-old girl who participated in our YMCA Youth Soccer Program this past spring and last year in the fall. She started soccer as a fun activity to do a few days per week, but YMCA Soccer is much more than just a fun activity to her now!
Addy met so many new friends from all over the Asheville area and looked forward to meeting up with her soccer friends every week. She learned more than just soccer skills and drills too-her confidence has grown by being exposed to new situations with new people.
In addition, her awesome coaches Brian and Danny were very impactful! They treated each child like he/she was the star of the team and they honed in on each child’s specific strength and skills. If you are looking for positive, impactful (and fun!) fall activity for your child, sign him/her up for YMCA Fall Soccer!

Rate Change for Household Memberships Starts September 1
|
Please Note: The following information was also sent via US Mail to your address on file on August 1.
The YMCA of Western North Carolina continues to grow. As many of you know, this fall we plan to open a new YMCA Center in Fletcher, providing even more convenience and access to our South Asheville and Hendersonville populations. In addition, we have expanded our focus on Youth Development by adding even more youth sports programming and improving our member childcare offerings. We are also continually working to evaluate our program pricing structure and are excited to offer new and deeper discounts on youth programs – including sports, swim lessons, parents night out, etc., for those members with a family/household membership.
We are excited to introduce two new categories of membership: a single parent household membership (accounts with one adult and dependents) and two adult household membership (accounts with two adults and no dependents). Also, dependents through age 21 will now be able to stay on a family household membership or single parent household membership at no additional charge. As our growth continues, program quality and staff training improve, and operational costs increase, it will be necessary to increase family membership dues to accommodate these developments.
As of September 1, 2014, only Family Household Memberships (accounts with two or more adults and dependents) will experience a $5 increase in monthly dues. For your convenience, we will continue your membership automatically through our bank draft plan. For those paying annually, your rates will adjust on your date of renewal.
In keeping with the YMCA mission of being accessible to all, and thanks to the support of donors to our Annual Campaign, we have Y Access- a sliding fee scale option. If economic conditions or a major life event makes it difficult for you to pay the full membership fee at this time, please contact your local YMCA branch to inquire about our Y Access program.
