Deeper and Deeper ~ both a Thanksgiving and a lifelong practice.
Yes, I have always been an explorer and experimenter, a taster and a tester. And yes, I will defend the adventure instinct passionately and devotedly! At the same time, I do hearken again, and yet again, to the wisdom voice that whispers, "Take the One Seat."*
In meditation, that means choosing the chair you will sit on and remaining there in order that you may deepen your sitting practice.* This applies to many paths; perhaps all paths. Art. Athletics. Love. Faith. Following your dharma, vision, you will only reach heights and depths when you are willing to face and conquer the demons that will arise when you stay steadfast in your saddle.
Yes, we can find wisdom exploring far and wide. And we also need to know our tendency to go wide, to hide and flee, when heights and depths become challenging. My Thanksgiving wish for you and for me: the heroic staying power to go deeper, to go higher, upon your charger, your palanquin, your throne. To take your one seat and dare to fly high and dive deep with it ~ with courage and conscious choice.

November 26th, I celebrated one year from the day I walked into Lisa Ludovici's office and walked out pain free from the severe sciatica that had gripped me for 9 months and had some doctors talking about surgery. Lisa is tops in the field of clinical hypnotherapy. I am thankful for healing and grateful for an expanded view of our powerful, mind-body connection.

Solar Immersions are the most acrobatic of the 3 kinds of 5-day Immersions that AcroYoga offers.
 Early Bird registration for NYC's January 24-28 Solar Immersion with Chris Loebsack and Arianne Traverso is Dec. 23. I will join many other AcroYoga teachers to assist this!
There will be a NYC Lunar Immersion in late June that I will also assist, and then the Elemental, Sept. 19-23, blending both Solar & Lunar, that I will lead! Stay tuned....
