Bob was born on February 6, 1945 in Nine Miles, St. Ann Parish, Jamaica. Since his passing on May 11, 1981 at age 36, Bob Marley's legend looms larger than ever. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, and his song "One Love" was designated ³Song of the Millennium² by the BBC.

Over a 1/4 Million in food items raised by the Mr Vegas Foundation
Great support was received from the artiste community and the general public as Mr Vegas initiated his first ever Charity Food Drive to benefit the Children of the Mustard Seed Communities.
Over $250,000 worth of non-perishable food items and beverages were collected in the Mr Vegas Foundation led food drive initiative in December! Collection barrels were placed in Megamart Locations islandwide, General Food Supermarket in Liguanea and Joong Supermarkets in Portmore and Stony Hill over a period spanning three weeks.
 
Jamaica's Song & Breakthrough Artist of the Year
The Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JARIA) is inviting members of the public to participate in the selection of the Song of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year for the period of November 1, 2013 to October 31, 2014. The deadline for voting is now Friday January 23rd.

The Annual 9Mile Music Festival, which many consider to be South Florida’s favorite musical event, has just announced the first performers in its line-up.  The Marley Boys, Stephen, Damian and Julian, will also be joined by Stephen’s son Joe Mersa Marley along with Soja and Jessie Royal, with more acts to be named soon.  The Festival celebrating One Love will be held on a special Love holiday, Saturday, February 14, 2015 – Valentine’s Day – at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds, 10901 Coral Way in Miami.
 
Tickets are $52.83 for General Admission and $178.74 for VIP and are on sale now at www.9milemusicfestival.com.  Additionally four cans of food/person must be brought to the Festival on the day of show to gain admission.

Two live major reggae concerts are planned for Bob Marley's 70th earthday weeked, February 6 and 7. The 7-hour events will be at two incredible venues. On Friday, February 6 (Bob’s birthday) it will be at The Mateel in Redway, CA and on Saturday, February 7 at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA. The Mateel event is sponsored by Reggae on the River. The concerts will include many conscious artists, including Luciano, Harrison "The Professor" Stafford of Groundation, Prezident Brown, Admiral Tibet, Kenyatta Hill of Culture, Sister Carol, Reggae Angels, and Indubious. All artists are donating their time and talent as a gift to the world.

Victor Badaró :: "Renova"
Victor Badaró, a Brazilian artist who is part of the new generation of Reggae Music, released two albums )(one in 2011 and  the other 2013) and is preparing to launch a new one that will be called Renova (Renews). It will be a symbol of a new phase that the artist lives at the moment.
 
The first single from this album is "Don't Cry." This song is the first song of his that is entirely in English. Victor shows great interest in in working with the international reggae scene and sending out a good message to more people in the world.
This song marks the beginning 2015 with good vibes and a lot of love.
Jah Vinci Releases New Single “Fi Di Poor”
Jah Vinci Releases New Single “Fi Di Poor” Featuring Mr. G, Produced By Street Block Records.
[Kingston, Jamaica] Early this month Jamaica’s popular singjay, Jah Vinci released his new single “Fi Di Poor” which featured popular songwriter and dancehall act Mr. G. Listening to the track, the vibe brings us back to the famous collaboration “Fight Fi War” by Blak Ryno and Jah Vinci himself. The new single is featured on Street Block Records compilation, “Leader Riddim” which features other top acts such as Gyptian, Blak Ryno and Munga.

It is with great enthusiasm that Kings Music International and Zojak World Wide are announcing the release of The Way, the new album from the Reggae Angels released on January 13th, 2015. This is serious message music from the California based veterans Reggae Angels in collaboration with the multi-Grammy award winning legends Sly and Robbie on bass and drums with their crew the Taxi Gang, featuring Franklyn ‘Bubbler’ Waul on keyboards, Nambo Robinson on trombone and Stepper on saxophone. Also featured are Dwight Pinkney on guitar and Laurie Lewis on violin.
