How To Get The Most Out Of Your Wind Mitigation Report On A Condo Unit
|
As a leader in the industry, Kross Inspectors performs more Wind Mitigation Inspections alongside our Home/Condo Inspections than any other firm!
A typical Condominium Inspection is provided at a reduced fee due limitations of only the elements within the condo unit boundaries being inspected.
The same limitations are placed on a Uniform Wind Mitigation Inspection as well. The condo wind mitigation reports on window and door protection installed for the unit inspected, but typically does not include reporting on the roof covering and roof/wall connections of the common elements (Roof/Building). Without these items reported, some insurance carriers may not be able to extend all applicable discounts.
In order to help Condo Clients get the most insurance premium credits available, we always recommend:
- Request a Current Wind Mitigation Report on the Building from the Seller or Condominium Association.
- Submit a Copy of the Building Wind Mitigation Report along with your Kross Inspectors Condo Unit Wind Mitigation Report to your Insurance Agent.
By following these two simple steps, the Insurance Underwriter will be able to review ALL applicable credits in order to apply the most discounts to your insurance coverage!
