Blues News You Can Use!
 Spoiler Alert

We have started to see registrations for our blues challenge pick up the pace. So far this year the bar has been set by the registration of a couple local favorites. The bands registered so far are.....wait!  Cancel that spoiler alert! LOL! Seriously though there is a page under construction on the OZARK BLUES SOCIETY web page where very soon you will be able to see photos and bios of the competing acts. For anyone who plans to register, now is the time.  Your early registration will allow us to help you promote your act's participation in this year's challenge. And for the fans...it's time to mark your calendar for the evening of October 19th. Though there is not a separate category that includes "crowd reaction" most of us know that it helps the judges gauge
an act's "stage presence" when they see how you can move the crowd.
And we ALL know the bands thrive when they have their friends there cheering them on! So keep following this newsletter (article below) and check our website for updates.
Again this week's calendar is full of
live music opportunities. I still would appreciate help as we round out the 2016 patio season in making sure
the calendar is complete. If I am missing YOUR information...or
that of your favorite band or venue, you need to email me! I want this newsletter to offer you the
information you, the reader, finds helpful. Also please send any ideas or comments to me anytime at:

You have to open your mind. I like the ability to express myself in a deep way. It's the closest music to our humanity - it's like a folk music that rises up out of a culture.
