Well, it finally stopped raining which for probably everyone here in NWA didn't happen a moment too soon. Our hearts go out to those who experienced damage and especially we mourn the loss of lives that occurred in our area. Though we can't help everyone, There IS an opportunity where you can make a difference coming up this Sunday. When the water rose last week, one of the places that got washed out was an area in Fayetteville where local homeless camp. Many of those folks, who already have so little, lost all of their possessions as they had to leave the area quickly as the water inundated the area. Many of them turned to the 7 Hills Homeless Shelter for assistance. Even with their own current financial (giving) shortfalls, 7 Hills served those who came to them in need. Read on below for information about Sunday's "Flying Signs" Gospel Brunch Fundraiser for 7 Hills Homeless Shelter being held at George's Majestic Lounge. With great music led by Brick Fields and great food by Suzi's Nibbles it's a win-win opportunity to have fun while you help those in need.
Check out the articles and the calendar below to keep updated on all the events in NWA and beyond. And don't forget, for those who want to find a way to help wildlife, the Eureka Springs Blues Weekend benefiting Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is just over a month away!
As always you can drop me a note and let me know what you want to see in this Newsletter. So, hit me up!

You have to open your mind. I like the ability to express myself in a deep way. It's the closest music to our humanity - it's like a folk music that rises up out of a culture. Read more at: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/s/sonnyterry211910.html

I was always singing the way I felt, and maybe I didn't exactly know it, but I just didn't like the way things were down there-in Mississippi. Read more at: https://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/m/muddy
