This Thanksgiving I took several days off, leaving them flexible for spontaneous, unstructured pleasures. Delighted to "wing it" as though on a pleasurable vacation with an open itinerary: and that is ezzackly how it feels! Sleep late or sleep early. Movies or long chats. Movement or luscious reading time. Time for strolls and music, journaling and daydreaming. Thankful for the precious commodities that all living beings share: Time. Breath. Being. Thanksgiving.

Sunday Dec 17, we wed two partner practices in one workshop: Zouk dance and Thai bodywork. Both are delicious partner practices that emphasize flow and connection.
Awesome NYC Zenzouk teacher Vinny will teach us Zouk with his equally awesome assistant Saeko.
After dancing, we will lay out padding and give and receive Thai yoga, furthering our enhanced partnership skills for healing.
Zouk N Thai is 3-5:30; then all are invited to Om Factory's 7:30-10PM Solstice Party, with kirtan, raffles, a Thai lounge, and a Zouk hour to end the evening! Zoukers may attend just the party for $10, or the entire day with the workshop for $45 ($80/couple).
No prior experience is necessary. No partner needed! Come!

Every time we give back, we light up someone's life. There are so many needs, yet each little gesture makes a difference. Here are some of my favorites:
Heifer, Inc. ~ "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, feed him for life" informs this organization, which gifts families with livestock, teaches them animal husbandry, and requires them to give back to their community.
Habitat ~ Co-funding and co-building their homes is part of the contract with families chosen to benefit from Habitat's house-building gifts.
Feeding America ~ Across the nation this group's chapters organize delivery of food from restaurants, supermarkets, groceries, at day's end, to soup kitchens and pantries and shelters.
Children International ~ Focusing on local programs in ten countries including the USA, building the 4 pillars that break the poverty cycle, one child and family at a time: health, education, employment, empowerment.
What are your favorite agencies to give to? We need not feel or be helpless in others' need. We can carefully and wisely allocate, to these and so many more throughout the year, a part of the harvesting of our own thanksgivings for the right to earn and learn, give and receive.
