ADCI/DLI ONE ACT CIRCUIT 2019
|

Three weekends down, and two to go on the 2019 One Act Circuit! 11 groups will qualify for the Finals in Rossmore - 6 Open & 5 Confined. Congratulations to The Moat Club, Kilmeen DG & Corn Mill TG who have already qualified for the Open slots in Rossmore, and to Model Box Productions & New Ross Drama Workshop in the Confined section. So, three places left in the Open, and three in the Confined - keep a close eye on the league tables on www.adci.ie this weekend and next to see who will join them!
If you want to attend one of the remaining festivals, Ballymahon, Carrigallen, Doonbeg, Gorey and Kiltimagh are on between 13th & 18th November, while Coolgreany, Manorhamilton & Tubbercurry run between 21st & 24th. Details on the Festivals page www.dli.ie. & nightly programmes on www.adci.ie

DLI REGIONAL WORKSHOP IN FERMOY

DLI members, board members Anne Mekitarian & Eugene O'Sullivan after a successful one day regional workshop with tutor Thomas Conway (Lir Academy & Druid Theatre) in Fermoy on 26 October.

DLI was happy to be invited to the launch of Freshly Brewed Volume Two in Bewleys Cafe Theatre last week. This edition contains seven one act plays, all available for amateur performance:

The Beacon (staged during 2019 Theatre Festival) and Two Ladies, both by Nancy Harris
The Alternative by Michael Patrick and Oisin Kearney (Dublin Theatre Festival)
Blood Wedding by Lorca, in a new version by Marina Carr.
Other new plays have been ordered for our collection and will be added to our online catalogue www.dli.ie.
Our library service is ever popular with members. In order to ensure that plays are kept in circulation for all, we would appreciate if those of you with overdue loans would return the scripts to us before the end of 2019. Thanks!!
