Dorothy Mae Whitsett aka Lady Dottie, bandleader for the multiple award-winning band Lady Dottie & The Diamonds, is an Alabama-bred fireball based in the San Diego area. Jack Mack & The Heart Attack ::
LIVE FROM CENTENNIAL PARK - ATLANTA 1996
Known and loved around the globe for being the “Hardest Working Band In Soul Business,” little did the band members of Jack Mack & The Heart Attack realize how well-earned that moniker had become.Known and loved around the globe for being the “Hardest Working Band In Soul Business,” little did the band members of Jack Mack & The Heart Attack realize how well-earned that moniker had become.

It’s July 1996 and the band is engaged to perform at the XXVI Olympiad, the international multi-sport event being held in Atlanta, Georgia. As the band closed their set and performed their original tune, “I Walked Alone” in the early morning of 27 July, a pipe bomb exploded in very close proximity to the stage directly killing 1 person and injuring 111. The white noise aftermath of the bomb blast provides a stark backdrop to what could be the first time an act of domestic terrorism closed a live recording.

Producer and director, Clint Eastwood, along with producer Leonardo DiCaprio, released a major film with Warner Bros. Pictures in December 2019, titled Richard Jewell with an all-star cast including Paul Walter Hauser as Jewell, Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm, and others. This biographical drama is based on the story of Jewell, the security guard who was subsequently wrongly accused of being the bomber. The award winning film features two of the band’s performances, the Staples Singers’ “I’ll Take You There” and the band’s original song “I Walked Alone.” ...More about these artists and release

Hector Anchondo … 20 years of love and discipline
(click image for "Roll The Dice" track from album of same name)
Representing the Blues Society of Omaha, Hector Anchondo competed against over 200 acts at the 35th Annual International Blues Challenge (IBC) and won first place for his Solo/Duo performance. He also garnered the Memphis Cigar Box Guitar Award for Best Acoustic Solo/Duo Guitarist.

“I’m so honored by these awards,” Anchondo said. “I love what I do, music in my passion and not very many people get this recognition. It’s truly an honor and I’m just so happy right now, overwhelmed with pride and thanks to all my fans and the people that support my music.”

Growing up on a Missouri farm, Anchondo soaked up Roots music, Latino music, bluegrass and old blues. He picked up the guitar as teen, and as soon as he finished high school, he headed for Omaha, to make a life playing guitar. When the recession of 2008 happened, work dried up in the music scene, and the stress took its toll. Anchondo found himself without a band, working as a dishwasher in a Cuban restaurant.

When you put your mind to doing the thing you were born to do, the universe helps. Anchondo got an unexpected call from an old friend in St. Louis. ...Find more about Hector Anchondo, his music and tour

Third Rebirth of Grammy Award Winner Fantastic Negrito

Tickets are on sale now at Event Brite. Doors open at 8pm and show starts at 9pm. Ages 21. Fantastic Negrito is the incarnation of a musician who is reborn after going through a lot of awful shit. In fact, the name Fantastic Negrito represents his third rebirth, literally coming back from death this time. The narrative on this man is as important as the sound because the narrative is the sound. Songs born from a long hard life channeled through black roots music. Slide guitar, drums, piano. Urgent, desperate, edgy. Fantastic Negrito is the story of a man who struggled to “make it”, who “got it”, who lost it all, and somehow managed to find his way back. When you listen to Negrito, you’re invited to hear the story of life after destruction. For anyone who ever felt like it was over yet hoped it wasn’t, this is your music.
