Introducing - Featured Yarn of the Week
Featured Yarn of the Week Video

In case some of you feel hungry for inspiration in the absence of being comfortable coming in and browsing the yarns and project ideas for yourself, I thought I'd offer a new store feature "virtually" for you all.

I'm calling it the Featured Yarn of the Week

Covid Shibori Bag Participants?
This is the last call for customers who took advantage of the free shibori tutorial videos I offered during shutdown and who now want to come by to dip their bag pieces in the indigo vat.

I need you to email me by July 6th so I can contact you and schedule a time for you to come by and use the vat.

Thank you
to all who have been ordering online, using my curb side pick up option, or stopping by the shop!

I truly appreciate your support during this challenging time.

It's been so nice to catch up with those of you who have ventured in. We've all discussed how fortunate we feel for having our creative outlets and how uplifting it has been to cautiously resume life in this new normal and be able to gather socially again in a store filled with color and texture and inspiration!

Having been open for limited hours for 3 weeks now and having incorporated the routine of mask wearing, social distancing and disinfecting throughout the day, I personally feel it is a relatively safe environment to be in - every customer has worn a mask, has been very respectful of the distance with other customers, and we wipe down surfaces frequently.

But....that being said, I totally understand some knitters still wanting to stay home so I just wanted to remind you that I am still offering Curb Side/ Drive Thru service to those who would prefer it. And of course I'll ship from the website too!

If you are still sheltering in place be sure to check out our new Featured Yarn of the Week "virtual video" starting Wednesday July 8th. (see the left sidebar for details).

And be sure to scroll down and look left for our July 4th ad Summer Hours! Happy 4th.

Stay well and knit on....
Jen
Last Call on July classes....
If these classes don't fill by Friday July 3rd, they will be canceled, so don't delay if you're interested as
registration ends July 3rd.

Shibori n Sashiko Face Mask

Wed July 8, 15 & 22nd

Learn both a dyeing and a stitching technique while making 2 masks!

Drop Spindle Spinning
Introduction

Thurs July 9th 5:30 - 7:30

It's portable and inexpensive to learn. And think about this: all the yarn used to weave all the Phoenecian sails, the Egyptian mummy cloth, the Roman and Greek togas, etc. was all handspun on a simple spindle like this!

Natural Dyeing

Sat & Sun July 1th & 12th

We'll dye lots of yarn, for sure,  but just to demonstrate to those of you who prefer to sew or quilt that this class is great for you too - here is an applique square my sister recently stitched using wool fabric she naturally dyed last summer. And you can dye baskets too!
