R.I.P. Warren Smith — Epiphany Artists and Sierra Nevada World Music Festival
Promoter and reggae aficionado Warren Smith crossed peacefully after a long illness at his beloved ranch in Northern California on Monday, after falling asleep while wrapped in his wife, Gretchen's arms, surrounded with love and listening to Bob.

Warren spearheaded The Sierra Nevada World Music Festival which promoted conscious music for 25 years in Northern California.

He built a community where Conscious music, Roots music, and World music were embraced. He will be deeply missed.

Dancehall Legend Sister Charmaine Passes Away In Her Sleep
Veteran dancehall-reggae artiste Sister Charmaine has passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 53 years old.

“She lay down to have a nap, and never woke up. I know she had the asthma, and she had it so bad that she couldn’t leave the house without her pump, but she wasn’t sick otherwise,” her close friend and confidante Lady Ann (pictured on the left above) told DancehallMag.

New Single from Vibrance The Arts Recording Label from St. Croix - ANCHANTS
Straight outta St.Croix, US Virgin Islands, Reggae Artist Anchants new track “Chatty” is out now ...Check it out!

Vibrance The Arts presents an alternative to the norm, as far as Roots music is concerned. The single, "Chatty", by Anchants, features live instruments on the "Chat Bout Riddim".  A sticky, up-tempo Roots dub, that moves you from the very beginning. "Chatty" covers a wide array of topics. Serving as a guide to remain steadfast in the right, in a world of calamity, with the opening lines... "Youth man on the streets don't you sell no guns". A reminder of the importance of incorporating the Feminine principles, as he states..."ah she", simply put. Cosmological alignment, the awareness of Self and one's role in these times...

"It's not that I be, it's just the fact that Be happens to be." Much insight is offered with these lyrics. Ultimately, Anchants "Chatty" is one for the books. A good sound, good message, a good feeling, not just chatty.

Prince Negasi EP JAH OVAH EVIL
Meet Prince Negasi — a Reggae Singer, Musician and Producer out of Portmore, Jamaica. His band Souls of Zion is comprised of young generation Roots Reggae musicians that keep the fires burning, spreading "Word Sound & Power" with The teachings of His Majesty Emperor Hailie Selassie I.

His performances include: 2015 Jamaican Independence Day concert, opening the show for Sizzla & Half Pint. Later that year he shared the stage with Dancehall Artist Kranium. In 2018 the band opened for Kabaka Pyramid and The Late Ones in New Haven, CT.

Over the summer of 2019, Prince Negasi toured the northeast from Brooklyn, NY to Canada opening for major acts such as
Akae Beka, Iba Mahr and Roots of Creation & many more. Started 2020 onstage with high energy at Sound DJ Alarm Music Festival in Linstead, Jamaica.

He then was featured with Denroy Morgan on The Petition Launch Tour supporting a worldwide annual recognition of the Coronation Day of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie JAH Rastafari & Empress Menen. Upon his return he appeared with I Anbassa & Queen Adessa on the Power of Reggae with our beloved ascended Father German.

The strangest times have come upon us — the seed of JAH OVAH EVIL was taking shape with Prince Negasi and his band the Souls of Zion.

Track List
1) Zionites
2) River Jordan
3) JAH Children Come
4) Be Wise
5) Holding Firm

These artists are a set of men who have been working on manifesting the specific Word Sound that was given to Prince Negasi. This particular brand of reggae is the same one that put reggae on the map and spreads the message of One Love and showcases the most important biblical and historical event of our time, namely the Coronation of King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, as prophesied.

Over the summer of 2020, Prince was featured alongside Greg Roy with Satta Sound at the controls.

Songs on the upcoming JAH OVAH EVIL were then featured at another benchmark show for Souls of Zion in downtown Hartford at CT. Peace Fest alongside Zuggu.

The Souls of Zion then hit the studio boot-camp style. The result is a band of proficient musicians who now can unite to produce and play any music and most importantly the EP that sets the signature sound that Prince Negasi has been working towards as an artist — he is musically and lyrically determined to fulfill the mission that JAH has given him.

Stay tuned for the singles, videos, follow-up album and more teachings in various media and linguistics.

If you wish, and we really wish you wouldn't, like to be removed from this list, please reply with REMOVE in subject line.

It will make us very sad if you do, and perhaps your removal will be the one the makes us decide this no longer worth doing at all, and all the information we provide will go away forever and musicians will sit home alone at night and cry because they have no one to play for because no one knows about their shows.
