DLI NEWSLETTER 9 SEPTEMBER 2021
LATEST NEWS
New details about the ADCI/DLI One Act Circuit, and the launch of our Outreach Workshop Programme 2021/2 feature in this newsletter - each edition brings more optimistic news to the drama community as we move slowly back into our venues and theatres. Your recent phone calls and emails to our office demonstrate that you are ready and willing to make that move. We are ALL so looking forward to it.

Back in June, our DLI Chairperson, Willie O'Brien, shared the most welcome news that the DLI application to the 2021/2 Arts Council Amateur & Voluntary Practice in Theatre funding had been successful. The planned series of workshops around the country is one of those funded initiatives which we will be bringing to you over the coming months.

ADCI/DLI ONE ACT CIRCUIT 2021
Ollie Kenny writes:

Interest in the one act circuit has been brisk since group registration opened on the 20th August, and has risen significantly since the government announcement on the increased numbers allowed in performance venues last week. The easing of restrictions has certainly given us all a boost, and this has resulted in 36 groups now registered so far to take plays out on circuit.

There are 16 festivals hosting this year, so this will mean that groups will be allowed to participate in five festivals only. If you intend participating on the One Act Circuit and haven't already registered, you would need to do asap - festivals start accepting applications on September 18!! Apply on the registration application form on the DLI website, or else directly to ADCI/DLI Joint Committee Secretary Ollie Kenny, by emailing him with your play title, the author and contact email to ollie.kenny@openeir.ie

Circuit rules, Fixture List, and Festival Application Form (Festival applications from 18 September only) are now on the DLI & ADCI websites www.dli.ie and www.adci.ie
