Thanks for Giving
Fall 2021
Thank you to all our supporters!
On September 25th, we celebrated our Light the Way Online Auction
***Over $80k was raised! All because you care!***

Our goal for the event was to raise enough funds to hire an additional person for our hospital program.  That person will be dedicated to working on weekends and holidays. Upon filling that role, our kids and families will have support 365 days a year as they navigate their journey with cancer.

You can still join the momentum of building something even bigger and more robust to support local kids and their families.

DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, THE COMMUNITY CAME TOGETHER TO BUILD AWARENESS FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER.

We kicked off the month with people adding GOLD to their lives as an awareness of Childhood Cancer!

Thank you to local business owners:
The Salz Team, PF Chang’s and the Botanical Alchemist, Ben & Jerry’s, Cosmic Cowboy,
and WHIZ KIDS for your awareness and fund raising campaigns.

Please continue to the stories below to celebrate with us.
 BARISTA FOR THE DAY

Kicking off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month was Barista for a Day.

Thanks to Wake up Call, ten of our kids and their families were Baristas for a Day. The event was held at their double-decker bus located at the AVISTA STADIUM!
September 8th, 2021

ACCOIN/Rosauers BLOOD DRIVE! Special thanks to Rosauers on 29th for allowing Blood Mobile to be in their parking lot. Because of this presence, many were able to donate the gift of life. We gathered enough blood to help 56 pediatric cancer patients in treatment at Sacred Heart Hospital.
September 9th, 2021
The Community came through again!  More than $8000 was raised through the efforts of  WAKE UP CALL COFFEE!
September 15th, 2021- Candlelight Vigil at the Glover Mansion
We gathered at The Glover Mansion for delicious hors-d’oeuvres by Red Rock Catering to nourish our bodies while our mission nourished our hearts.

September 23rd, 2021
The Pavilion at Riverfront Park was illuminated GOLD with BLUE sparkles in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
These events are only a portion of the support that was given to our kids and families.

Many events were held throughout the Inland Northwest to raise awareness and funds to support Childhood Cancer Awareness.

As you can see, all through September, Spokane had many opportunities to learn about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. (CCAM)

And the community stepped up!
THANK YOU!
What else is happening at ACCOIN?
In October, our dedicated volunteer, Marilyn "Marigold" Taylor, partnered with the RhoChi Pharmacy program students at WSU to hold an online Halloween Party full of costumes, fun and games, prizes, and pumpkins.

Right now, the staff and volunteers are full throttle into preparing for Christmas.
While we are still standing on the side of caution, we have made the call to hold back from the big Holiday Gathering this year; however, we are excited to reinstate the Adopt A Family Program.

We have had incredible support from businesses and individuals opening their hearts to help parents breathe a little easier this holiday season. By accepting the wish lists of the kids, purchasing items, and packaging them up for delivery, they are bringing joy this holiday season. We are so grateful. Christmas would not have happened without you.

This year we will also be working with elves to deliver the out-of-town gifts as well.

It's not too late to jump on the sleigh to help some families this holiday season. We are still looking for gift cards from grocery stores, Amazon, Target, and Fred Meyer to stuff the parent's stockings. If you would like to help, please contact Leslie @509-995-5431 or lesliewoodfill@accoinlandnw.org

A New Way to Give
We are happy to share a new way to give and start building into the future.
Through a partnership with DA Davidson, ACCOIN can now accept donations of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and money from investment accounts.

If you have wanted to give and are looking for a way to support our mission that involves those options, good news! Now it's an option!

Please contact Leslie Woodfill at 509-995-5431 or email to: lesliewoodfill@accoinlandnw.org
Happy Thanksgiving!
We wish you a beautiful kick off to the holiday season.
