"I thought about people I see and talk to and even my own emotions at times.

Ishmael I sings “Sweet Loraine” a tribute to his Cousin, ska, rocksteady, reggae pioneer Justin Hinds.

Sweet Loraine
Album: Taurean
Artist: Ishmael I
Label: World Conquerors Inc.

Independent recording artist, Ishmael Hinds I aka Ishmael I, has a mission to spread love, bring cultures together and create opportunities for the disenfranchised through his music.
With musical roots that run all the way back to Jamaica’s Ska and Rocksteady era, Ishmael literally has the blood of this era’s pioneers and legends flowing through his veins. His elder cousin, Justin Hinds of Justin Hinds & The Dominoes, was one of the biggest acts in Jamaican music during the 1960s and 70s. Another one of Ishmael’s elder cousins, Horace “Sleepy” Andy (Horace Hinds) is a renown roots reggae singer, songwriter and trip-hop musician who has been recording since 1967.

Having such musical giants and firm believers in the Rastafarian tradition and faith in his lineage has greatly influenced Ishmael’s artistry and the trajectory of his career.

The singer/songwriter recorded his first cover song “Sweet Loraine” in tribute to Justin Hinds, with whom he shares a birthday. Hinds originally performed and recorded the song in 1984. The cover is set to be released on November 19, 2021, and is the first single from Taurean, Ishmael’s sophomore EP that is set to be released in 2022 from the World Conquerors Inc collection. Ishmael’s first EP, Mister Sun, was released on July 23, 2020, in honor of the birthday of the Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia. It is available on all listening platforms.

Goodwill Ambassador and Reggae artist, His Excellency TAJ WEEKES celebrates his first solo album, "Pause", with the release of "Rainstorm"~ The second single and video from the internationally acclaimed album ~
Weekes states that this album was written during the most important year of his life. "The year the music stopped and about everything else in between." Taj Weekes’ new album Pause is his first without the musical benefits of his backing band Adowa.

But don’t expect an all-acoustic or subdued experience.
Taj without Adowa is not solo Taj; this overflow of creativity arises from a wealth of talent. In fact there is no more richly textured and musically adventurous reggae album than Pause.

"Lyrically, 'Pause' is the strongest album we've heard in ages and it also holds up effortlessly musically. That forced break certainly did Taj Weekes good!" - Reggae.be (Belgium)

Sean Paul Nabs MOBO Award Nomination For Best Reggae Act
New York, NY - Multi-award-winning and Billboard chart topping, international recording artist Sean Paul has been nominated Best Reggae Act for the 2021 MOBO Awards.he MOBO Awards are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in "music of black origin", including hip hop, reggae, grime, R&B, soul, ...

On the heels of his recently released chart topping single “Dynamite” featuring Sia and his 7th studio album ‘Live N Livin’, Sean Paul continues to remain one of the most sought-after artists in music.

The annual British music award honors achievements in black music and culture and will take place on Sunday, December 5th at Coventry Building Society Arena, with the event set to be live streamed on YouTube and air on the BBC.

Throughout his career, the international superstar has carved a home for himself while championing dancehall, as being an artist with a unique sound, look and passion. His ability to show the power and unity in music through various collaborations, across many genres has catapulted his career over the years on various charts, awards and with an enormous fanbase. Effectively Sean has brought that same concept back to his own genre with his album ‘Live N Livin’ as he collaborated with some of his colleagues in reggae and dancehall, highlighting that together we can also make great music.

As a past MOBO Award winner Sean Paul was very pleased with the announcement of his nomination “I am incredibly thankful for the nomination and for the support of all my fans,” said Sean Paul. “Seeing the continued appreciation of my music is a great feeling, the recognition of our music, from Jamaica is good for the culture and every nominee is a winner” The MOBO Awards will also celebrate the best of African music, jazz, grime, gospel, hip hop, and R&B, plus media personalities, actors, and producers.

About Sean Paul
It’s rare for an artist to become the personification of their genre. For just a word or phrase from their mouth to conjure the entire artform. Sean Paul is one of those artists. Let him say “shake dat ting” in his commanding voice, and you’ll hear the embodiment of dancehall. Across seven studio albums and counting, Sean Paul has taken the genre global, from its origin in clubs in Kingston, Jamaica to the top of the charts, packing some of the biggest venues in more than 120 countries. Only Sean has the distinction of being the first Jamaican to play shows in Kazakhstan and Madagascar.
Jamaican Jerk Festival to return to South Florida for 1st time since pandemic
Eddy Edwards: “Jerk Fete is a party spin off, basically. We”ve had two years of COVID where we couldn’t gather and do our big festival, so we decided to innovate this new experience to a smaller, more intimate event, but it’s also a lot of fun”.

A fete is the Jamaican way of saying party.
The great food, music, and fun will be back at Vizcaya Park in Miramar on Sunday.
Eddy Edwards: “They’re going to be serving some jerk tacos, jerk chicken — you gotta have jerk chicken — jerk pork. And then we have jerk ice cream, and that is special.”

The mastermind behind all the culinary creations is Hazel Maragh. She gave us a preview of some of the delicacies that will be served at the bash.

Hazel Maragh: “Rasta pasta, jerk pepper shrimp, grilled vegetables and fruits on the side.”
Your taste buds won’t be dissapointed.

Alison, guest: “I had the pepper shrimp. It’s so good and spicy, just perfect!”
And what would a party be without music? A perfect way to get burn off those flavorful calories!
Your DJ on the wheels of steel is DJ Radcliffe.

DJ Radcliffe: “We’re going to get crazy this year. As you know, it’s a fete, so we’re going to go crazy, we’re going to go hard. When we party in Jamaica, we play a little bit of everything. Mostly soca, reggae, dancehall, is what we’ll be doing.”
With all that good food and music, one thing’s for sure: the Jerk Fete is for everyone to enjoy.
Hazel Maragh: “When they come, they are coming to have and will get a good, fun time.”
If you want to join in on the festivities tickets cost $35.
