The Shift is Upon us with
Exploding Expectations

If your head isn't spinning from the many wild, unexpected, out-of-the-blue events of the last six weeks, you haven't been paying attention! We knew this year would be a wild rollercoaster ride, but the last six weeks have delivered so many shocking/stunning events, it's hard to wrap our heads around them.
We had the huge derecho storm that blew through the Midwest with winds so high that they threw 18 wheelers around; an unexpectedly bad Presidential debate, and public cries to push the President off the ticket; a shooting/assassination attempt at a political rally; and the President withdrawing his candidacy from the Presidential race and endorsing his VP as the new candidate.
In light of the last couple of months, there's now lots of speculation about all kinds of wild possibilities for the next few months: Will there be a surprise contested primary at the Democratic convention? Will we have a repeat of the last convention in Chicago, in 1968, when police were ordered to brutally attack peaceful protesters? Will the Republicans throw Vance off the ticket? Will they throw Trump off the ticket? Is Trump in mental decline and have to drop out?
We're only halfway through the year, and halfway through a long, hot summer! Everything is heating up: politics, the culture wars, the rise of feminine power, the clash between the people and greedy corporations, global tensions, and of course, extreme and catastrophic weather and earth events. And that's just on the national/global level. The "temperature" is also escalating on the local front and in our personal lives.
These are the Challenging/Changing Times in Which we Live!
Huge changes are happening around the world, and we're all experiencing sudden, unexpected, often unheard-of events at a pace that has left many of us gasping for breath. There are also ongoing dramas and traumas: wars, earthquakes, fires, famines, protests and rebellions. Protests are raging in Nigeria and Venezuela, and the protest in Bangladesh forced the Prime Minister to resign. Race riots erupted in the U.K., with anti-racist protesters clapping back in a big way. And recent elections in many countries have unexpectedly changed the political trajectory of those countries, as the people turned away from the extremism that had started to take hold over the last decade.
In many cases, traditions and the way things have always been done—the very conventions, processes, and norms that have helped us feel stable (whether we liked them or not!)—seem to have been thrown out the window, and we are all feeling and reacting to that instability, not knowing what in the world is coming next!
This is all happening as time seems to be increasingly speeding up, and it feels like we are having/witnessing 5 years' worth of experiences in 6 or 7 months!
This Time of Upheaval Isn't Going to End Anytime Soon!
We will be living in these volatile energies and times at least through the end of the year and, in fact, it is likely to become even more volatile—and downright crazy—as we move toward 2025. And again, while the entire world is affected by the prevailing energies and general chaos, the U.S. is getting it in spades because we're in the final throes of the Pluto-in-Capricorn transit (the return of Pluto to its position in the U.S. natal chart), which is really applying pressure on us to see the corruption and abuses in our systems and make choices about who we want to be.
It has definitely not been pretty or easy, but we will be in much better energetic waters in January, when Pluto makes its final exit out of Capricorn and cruises into the lighter energies of Aquarius to stay until 2043.
Meanwhile, with Pluto making one last roll back into Capricorn September 1-15 (to show us where we "missed a spot"!), the final months of the election season in the U.S. are likely to be so outrageous that our heads really will explode. To say to expect the totally unexpected is to really minimize how very shocking things are likely to be. Expect November and December to be in complete uproar, with protests and lawsuits over election results, loud exclamations of voter fraud, local and state officials refusing to certify elections, and, of course, pockets of people feeling that they have to act out violently if the election doesn't go their way.
It will be interesting to see just how long it takes for the dust to settle and the results in races up and down the ballot to be finally determined, not to mention how long it will take before the new House and Senate members are seated. We can only hope that the Presidential Inauguration and passing of the torch will actually take place on January 20!
No matter what, just be ready, and stay centered! Everything will work out in the end, even if there is a lot of drama involved in getting there. Expect the unexpected and go with the flow!
What can we do when everything seems crazy and out of control, and not necessarily in a good way? Our best bet is to consciously step out of the chaos, out of the fray, and into our center. We can bring our focus back from "out there" to "in here." We can look at our own lives, restore balance and self-care, work on healing whatever triggers us and comes up to be healed, and find as much joy and peace in the moment as we can.
Don't Worry About Problems Above Your Pay Grade!
When the world seems to be going crazy, it's easy to start to feel numb, despairing, hopeless, and powerless. It's not easy to turn away from the turmoil and tragedy in the world, especially with the media screaming at us to pay attention and not miss out! It's like passing an accident on the road and trying not to rubberneck.
But we must remember that it is not our job to take the burdens of the world onto our shoulders. The world will take care of itself, in its own way, in it's own timing. Clutching our pearls and wringing our hands over things we can't fix is a waste of time and energy, when we could actually be doing something about other things. Send those situations Light and love, and move on to something else.
We only have power in the moment and in our own lives. We can identify if, and what, we might be able to do for those who are suffering in the world—support aid organizations, become politically active, etc.—but we must also recognize what we cannot do. Individually, we cannot end wars, save the refugees, protect all the children, or save the planet from climate change. Yet many of us worry about them as if we actually could do something, single-handedly, to fix those problems. We can't.
But nationally and politically, especially in this critical election year, there are many things we can do: help people register to vote, volunteer to be a poll worker, and support local politicians who exemplify our values and views.
While we cannot solve the problems of the world, we do have enormous power, collectively and individually. We simply have forgotten that, because often the powers that be want us to forget it. We need to change focus and see what's happening in our own lives, neighborhoods, local municipalities and states, then step into our power, and take action.
We literally have the power to change lives, if we can just focus on where we can actually help: We can volunteer to deliver meals to the sick or elderly, to help at a food pantry, or even clean out our closets and donate unused food, clothing, and household goods to a local shelter. When we do something for someone else, we feel not only gratified and helpful, but we also feel the power that we have to make a difference and feel encouraged to take additional actions.
It also helps to get out of our heads and into our hearts, pull our focus away from all of our perceived pains and grievances, and stop focusing on—and possibly yearning for—the past. The past may have been better for the few, but not for the many, and it very likely wasn't as wonderful or as easy as we might "remember" it, despite how much some may try to rewrite history. Isn't it amazing how selective our memories are: We may remember our difficulties but forget our victories and joys—or just the opposite!
How does your memory work? How does your mind work, in general? Do you automatically go to worst-case scenario or keep your hope, no matter what you're facing? Do you focus on difficulties and lack, or do you count your blessings and focus on all the good in your life?
Now more than ever, it's time to really pay attention to where our thoughts go: to the "good" things or the "bad" things. That distinction will make a huge difference in our lives going forward into these new energies because—whether we do it consciously or unconsciously—our manifestation abilities are growing, and the time lapse between sending out the thought and seeing it manifested in 3-D is getting shorter. And we always attract things that match our thoughts, beliefs, and energies.
So this summer is not a time to get immersed, frustrated, worried, and angry about what anyone else is doing, especially on the political front (and these days, almost everything is political). Doing so merely pulls us down into the mire and adds more low-vibration energy to that already full pot.
Rather, spend some time practicing discernment, giving everything a quick gut check, and making efforts to control our thoughts. We will be drowning in the political swamp, with escalating attack ads, AI-generated videos and photos (or at least "creatively" edited to make a particular point, whether true or not), performances on Capitol Hill, etc. We will be subjected to efforts to distract, deceive, and divert our attention from the truth. And it will be harder and harder to avoid going under from the onslaught, and harder and harder to determine what is true.
The politicians and the mainstream media want to control the narrative, to generate votes, viewers, clicks, and, of course, revenue. And often they do it through generating fear, anger, resentment, and division, rather than just giving us true facts without editorial comment or bias.
Don't fall for it! That doesn't serve us. It keeps us in fear and steals our joy.
The Winds of Change are Blowing Strong!
The energies have changed dramatically, and anyone who is sensitive to energy felt it. On July 22, after Biden announced he was discontinuing his candidacy and endorsing Harris, a huge blast of new energy swept across the country and around the world. It brought in freshness, joy, excitement, and hope. Whether Biden's action created the new energy or was actually the result of it, the change was—and is—palpable. Some say that humanity took a leap forward along the timeline or jumped timelines altogether.
The Divine Feminine energy has been increasingly flowing across the planet (from the Galactic Center, the sun, the earth, and inside of us). In the last few years, we've seen more and more prominent women making headlines. This summer, it feels as if it's been surging as if the dam broke!
Did Biden pick up on that, feel the momentum, and make his decision? Or did he feel the shift from the old, traditional, male-hierarchy-supporting Capricorn energies to the new Aquarian energies that favor more humanity, equality, and younger generations stepping up into their roles? Or perhaps it was a combination of all the energies that have been hitting us this year that influenced him on an energetic level to pass the torch to a younger generation... and to a woman, and a woman of color at that.
It seemed as if the damn that had metaphorically been holding these energies at bay suddenly broke, they flooded out, and everything changed.
Whether you like Kamala Harris or not, you simply cannot deny that something phenomenal is happening with the energy surrounding her, that only seems to keep building: We are seeing joy, enthusiasm, excitement, and hope, something that we haven't seen on this scale in or out of politics in a long, long time.
Is that feeling due to her, alone? That's unlikely. This is much bigger than one person. This is about all of humanity and the future of humanity. There is far more going on right now than anyone can see in outward events and personalities.
There is a growing feeling (and relief) that we might—just possibly —finally be able to collectively move forward to something new, after many years of fear, drama, trauma, depression, and feeling stuck. The new energies of hope and joy are coming in with such force that we are finally starting to heal and move on from the shocking traumatic years of the pandemic and its aftermath. And people are responding to those energies, increasingly choosing love over fear.
The Tide has Turned, and There's No Turning Back!
Can you feel it? The tide has turned, and the current is strong. We can steep ourselves in fear and try to hold on to the past, hold on to the way things were, or we can embrace the new energies, embrace the excitement, hope, and joy that is available to us, and leap in, trusting that the Universe has our backs and will provide a soft landing in a new and better place, even if we can't really see what that might be or look like.
Around the world, and especially in the U.S., humanity has reached some important choice points (and been given a wonderful opportunity to decide): Who are we? Who do we want to be, collectively and individually? Do we want to continue to embrace the old ways of fear, lack, and toxic hierarchy and wealth/power consolidation?
Or have we had enough of that and really feel it's time to move to a less harsh, more supportive society, where everyone has a real chance to be happy and thrive? Do we want to move forward with love, kindness and respect for each other, each helping the other so all may rise?
These choices have been brewing under the surface, unconsciously, for a long time as people integrated the incoming energies over the last decade(s), but they haven't really manifested in the outer world yet. But now we're at the choice point, the pivot point, the point of manifestation!
Some countries are making these decisions through elections, others are doing it through protests or war. Either way, the old, worn, out-of-date energies are being blasted out of the water, and it behooves us to realize that nothing is going to be the same and we're not going back, whether we like it or not! We can either ride the waves of change or get dragged under and drown.
But the energies can't do it alone, no matter how strong they are. This process—this great Shift—requires "audience participation." Sitting this one out is not really an option. We are all being energetically pushed (and required) to open our eyes, assess what we've seen in the last few years, take our power back, and take the actions that are there for us to take to make our lives—and the lives of others—better.
Continuing to feel like powerless victims, sitting back and waiting for someone else to do it or save us, doesn't cut it anymore. We are being asked to stand up and be counted, and if we can do that through a ballot process, rather than physically putting our lives on the line in protests, all the better!
Do we want to tell the Universe we simply can't be bothered to take responsibility for ourselves, or do we want to show that we finally understand that we are divine, powerful, beings, and we can and will take responsibility for ourselves and our planet?
All these energies flowing to the planet have thinned the fog we've been living in enough so that we can all see the choices before us very clearly. The sides are almost starkly different, and people can see those differences in high contrast and will, therefor, clearly resonate with one side or the other. The point is to pick the side you identify with, take action, and make the choice.
It is totally up to us! What will you choose to do? What will we collectively choose?

What are these Energies that are Knocking us Around?
|
This whole year, the planet has been subjected to some pretty strong—and often very disconcerting and challenging— energies that have contributed to (if not actually caused) much of the chaos and volatility we've experienced, making us feel like we're on a runaway roller coaster that just keeps going faster and faster. We slowly creep up to a peak, then take a sudden plunge, followed by a fast swerve to the side, leaving us feeling like we've left our stomachs somewhere, and dealing with headaches, nausea, vertigo, and sleep disturbances.
These energies are not new. They've been building and escalating over the last few decades, reaching a crescendo this year. They have been churning up things that have been long hidden, exposing corruption, abuses, and broken systems and foundations, raising our vibrations while releasing unhealed emotional energy, thinning the veils and creating transparency.
What are these energies, exactly?
Pluto in Capricorn has been exerting its strong, subconscious, influence on the planet since 2008, when it landed with a bang and a crash of the housing market, the banking system, and the economy.
Pluto deals primarily with power and its many abuses, and in Capricorn it exposes corruption and cracks in the system related to government, institutions, systems, hierarchy, patriarchy, and top-down politics and structures. It churns up the dirt for everyone to see, and it takes things to extremes so that there is absolutely no doubt about what we're seeing.
Pluto has been particularly potent for the U.S., because it has been sitting for the last few years on the exact point that it sat when the country was founded. It has exposed everything that isn't working, all the corruption, and all the deeply hidden and unhealed bigotry, misogyny, fear, anger, and hatred that has been boiling below the surface. And it's been forcing us to assess and decide who we are and what we stand for.
Pluto has been out of Capricorn, in Aquarius, since January, and will make one final roll back into Capricorn in early September through mid-November. It will churn up anything not yet exposed and offer us the final choice—in November—of what kind of country we want to be, what kind of governing system we want, and whether we want to go forward or back.
Once Pluto finally enters Aquarius to stay, it will be there for 20 years. The new energy will be all about power to the people, rather than power and wealth consolidated in the hands of the few, and it will be a whole new ball game.
Uranus has also stepped up, particularly this year, to bring us quite a number of sudden, unexpected, out-of-the-blue events and changes. And he's not done with us yet!
In mid-July, there was a particularly difficult conjunction at 26° Taurus of Uranus (sudden, unexpected things), Mars (anger, aggression, war), and the fixed star, Algol (aka the demon star, the death star, associated with evil, death, suffering, and tragedy). The conjunction was exact on July 15, promising explosive, unexpected events, and we got them!
We're not out of the woods with that conjunction yet. Although Mars has moved on, Uranus continues to sit on Algol and will do so until the end of the year, promising continued volatility and shocking, unexpected events.
Of course, the other planets are also active, adding their energies to these, but these are the ones exerting the most influence on the planet, and because Pluto and Uranus are very slow-moving "outer planets," they affect us on deep, unconscious levels, changing our beliefs and viewpoints virtually without our noticing... until one day we discover we've changed in fundamental ways.
Solar Flares! On top of everything else, we're in a solar max cycle of solar flares, and we've had a huge number of Class M and Class X solar flares (Class X flares are 10x more powerful than Class M). In addition to extending the aurora borealis, these huge solar flares affect our electronics and power grids as well as everyone and everything on the planet.
Our energy fields, bodies, and nervous systems must integrate these strong blasts of new energy, and that process can result in headaches, nausea, vertigo, lethargy and fatigue, and sleep disturbances.
As challenging, chaotic, and eventful as all of these energies have been in the first part of the year, they will be more so for the rest of the year. (Sorry!) That means, basically, that our expectations can be thrown out the window, because we can't even imagine what may be happening in the next few months!
On the up side, we know that we are being pushed toward a higher level, a higher vibration. Some believe the solar flare activity is literally rewiring us, activating dormant DNA, elevating our bodies and minds, thinning the veils, and increasing our psychic abilities. But in the meantime, we have the headaches, nausea, sleep disturbances, etc., to deal with!
So take it easy, drink extra water, eat light, get extra rest, go with the flow, and remember to BREATHE!!

Get Active and Feel More Alive!
|
After years of isolation from the pandemic, there are now more opportunities than ever to step back into society and become part of a group or movement, find our tribe, and work for a cause we believe in! And the best way to conquer that feeling of being stuck and alone is to get out and do something; even better if you can help someone at the same time!
Why not jump into a group that volunteers for a candidate or a cause? You'll be doing something for the greater good and meeting like-minded people!
If you're not in a position to get out and volunteer, if you're in the U.S., at the very least do this:
1. Register to vote!
2. Double-check (a few times) that your registration is still active.
3. GET OUT AND VOTE!
Two ways that we ALWAYS have power and can use our power is through how we spend our money and how we vote. It's your power! USE IT WISELY!
