 Spring has sprung in my city! Even though she does mischievous, startling "take-backs" dipping and raising temperatures one day to the next, spitting wind and rain on one day, she'll smile on us with golden sunlight the next; and she cannot prevent life bursting forth in vivid color through plant life everywhere, in backyards, on sidewalks, in window boxes, in smiles on people's faces.
Spring is renewal; Easter and Passover and the Equinox mark that. What are you grateful for? Every time I feel moved by the beauty of flowers, I am grateful for color, vision, scent; indeed, for our five senses, and for that effable "knowing" within us of beauty that Keats and Plato spoke of.
 The insider knowledge that we have a connection to beauty. Something sacred within us; we have that spark. We can seek it, even spark it in everything, everyone around us, within us.
That is the renewal of Spring for us. She reminds us we are Life. As there is no separation of Life from Love, we are Love.
What makes you grateful? I "see" the little purple bud on the edge, leaning in. Are you ever that one? Are you the rose-hued one, inviting its buddy to lean in? Are you a tall one, a "leader"? I am grateful: for beauty, love, community.
