ABOUT HOLO HOLO MUSIC FESTIVAL

Holo Holo Music Festival was born from a love of island and reggae music—a genre deeply rooted in connection, culture, and movement. The festival first set sail in 2022 at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University, bringing together fans to celebrate the vibrant sounds of the islands. With the spirit of holo holo—meaning "to travel, to sail, to move"—the event quickly expanded, reaching new shores in Las Vegas and Sacramento in 2023. By 2024, its journey continued with a highly anticipated stop in San Diego.

Now, in 2025, we’re excited to take Holo Holo even further, bringing the music and community to Oceanside, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Tacoma, and San Diego! As we continue to move and grow, the festival remains a space for connection—where fans can gather for two days of unforgettable performances, incredible food, and the shared love of island and reggae music.

For Good Vibez Presents co-owner Dan Sheehan, Holo Holo is more than just a festival—it’s a reflection of his roots. “Growing up in Ewa Beach, O‘ahu, island music and reggae were the soundtracks of my childhood. These styles—the heartbeat of the islands—are the backbone of my work as a festival producer and venue owner. A big part of Good Vibez Presents is about discovery, and I’m honored to showcase and celebrate these artists at Holo Holo Festivals.”

For over 25 years, Good Vibez Presents has produced hundreds of immersive, multidimensional concerts and festivals across the West Coast, Hawaii, Arizona, North Carolina, and Mexico. They are the driving force behind the California Roots Music & Arts Festival in Monterey, the largest reggae-rock festival in the country. With a deep commitment to supporting nonprofits, small businesses, and creatives, Good Vibez Presents continues to build events that foster community, uplift artists, and spread positivity.

Holo Holo Music Festival is more than just a gathering—it’s a journey. And in 2025, we can’t wait to holo holo with you!

Enjoy a weekend of incredible music and good vibes! Choose the Holo Holo that is right for you!

Join us for an unforgettable night of Afrobeat magic as the legendary Femi Kuti lights up The UC Theatre! Femi Kuti continues the legacy of his father, Fela Kuti, while carving his own path as a global icon. Four time grammy-nominee Femi Kuti is going to perform a show that will speak to the soul. Femi has captivated audiences worldwide with his powerful horn lines, infectious grooves, and steadfast dedication. Don’t miss this night of grooves and powerful messages!

Throughout his prolific career, Femi Kuti has stood as a powerful voice for justice, carrying forward the revolutionary Afrobeat legacy pioneered by his father, Fela Kuti. Known for his unflinching critiques of political corruption and social inequality, Femi’s heady mix of funk, jazz and highlife has always been a tool for resistance and change.

But on Journey Through Life, his new album out in 2025via Partisan Records, Femi turns inwards, balancing the political themes that have defined his career with deeply personal reflections on family, life, and inner growth: “I wanted to talk more about me, about my thoughts and the goals and values that have guided me all these years and led me to where I am now. I’ve never done that on an album before” says Femi.

Femi began his career as a member of Fela's legendary band, Egypt ’80, and briefly stepped into the role of frontman when his father was imprisoned on fabricated charges in 1984. In 1986 he left to create his own band Positive Force, and has been forging his own style of Afrobeat ever since, adding doses of R&B, rock, and hip hop to the traditional Yoruba rhythms and jazzy horns. Lyrically, however, his focus has remained firmly on issues of power, oppression, and social injustice, and his activism has extended beyond music through collaborations with organizations like Global Citizen and his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

If you wish (and we really wish you wouldn't) like to be removed from this list, please reply with REMOVE in subject line.

It will make us very sad if you do, and perhaps your removal will be the one the makes us decide this no longer worth doing at all, and all the information we provide will go away forever and musicians will sit home alone at night and cry because they have no one to play for because no one knows about their shows or music.
