Thinking you can't draw or paint may seem true to you because one of the following:
You’ve only tried a handful of times and expected immediate results. Skill doesn’t work that way—this class will show you how to build it gently and realistically.
You’re comparing your tender, emerging doodles to someone else’s fully baked, well-marinated style. This is like Chagall peeking over at Winslow Homer and saying, “Oh dear, I guess I’ll never float my lovers over villages properly.” No. Just… no. Your style is not missing—it’s incubating.
You’ve developed a habit of nothing feeling “good enough.” We’ll work with that inner critic so it stops shutting down your creative process - but know this - you're not alone.
This isn’t about talent—it’s about learning how to begin, continue, and enjoy making art. It's about being in that lovely state that makes art easier.
Permission to be imperfect, because your imperfect approach will be your style if you commit to it, and if you don't allowing yourself to be imperfect is a lot like allowing yourself to be human.
As for writing, I have some techniques that help you sneak in the backdoor by giving you raw materials to start out with... kinda like a word collage where words will tell YOU where they want to go.
