Feature Friday:  Sign-Up Builder

While many of the features we offer make email marketing more productive, none is as essential as the sign-up builder.  Directing new readers to your newsletter is an integral part of building your subscriber list.  Embedding your sign-up form directly on your website and social media pages ensures that interested readers will be able to join your subscriber list with ease.

Why Use the Sign-up Builder
Why use the sign-up builder?  To get people to sign up for your newsletter, of course!  Online sign-ups account for an important demographic for many marketers.  These are the people who signed up online due purely to their interest in your content, and it is important that you be available to any potential reader. Of course, you can also help to encourage such readers by offering a reward or two for those who sign-up. The truly uninterested won’t bite (one hopes).

How to Use the Sign-up Builder
You have several options for your sign-up builder.  You can embed a one-step builder that will render directly on your site or you can use a multi-step signup which will be hosted on MNB.  We also have a specialized builder for your Facebook page. When using this tool you will be guided through each step in creating a custom sign-up builder that reflects your brand. Your sign-up builder will be specific to your design and you will have the opportunity to specify which fields (email address, first and last name, address, etc.) appear on the sign-up.

Sign-up Builder Pro-Tips
Have your sign-up in as many places as you can. Anyplace on the Internet where you have an official presence is a good place for a newsletter sign-up.

Make sure that your branding is consistent. If you haven’t already worked on your branding, make sure that you do so once you have your sign-up built.  Make sure that it has the same look and feel as the rest of your marketing content - after all, you’re trying to build recognition!

Using the multi-step option for Sign-Up Builder will refer back to the Preferences that you selected in the subscriber section of your MNB account.  Changes you make to your preferences section will be reflected on your sign-up page.
